Hi, Ina. I generally love everything you make and am often inspired to make one for myself. The most important inspiration of yours was the mitered square blanket, of which I have made two. I love your sweaters but am not a fan of the Penguono. I started one and then decided I would never wear it. Good decision on the Vulkan. The Riddari is beautiful, as well as the one you are wearing.

There is a little voice in my head telling me the same thing about the Penguono (which is partly why I stopped knitting on it) but I still think I would like to give it a go. If it ends up fitting me I will probably only use it as as comfy piece here at home, but that's fine. The mitered square blanket has to be completed soon, in time for my son´s birthday in March at the latest 🤗

Hi Ina, you have lots of beautiful WIPs going! For the pinguono I would choose a medium toned colour for the bottom. Something with a bit of contrast to the front, but not roo harsh.Maybe a muted pink or a camel colour? And then bring the darker colour to the front by making it the shawl collar. I think a dark grey or dark brown could work really well. Maybe just take it to your stash and hold a few skeins against to see if there is anything that inspires you.

Wonderful episode Ina! Great wips you have there to give love to. Don't rip out the crochet blanket attempt. See if you can crochet enough with your available yarns to make a long cushion Cover, either for side sleeping or one along the back of your bed to sit up against or maybe the garden bench or sth like that. Definitely keep the Pinneguri sweater. It's so beautiful. The colours suit you so well. For the balloon girl socks you could cut out the wrong heel and knit an afterthought heel... A crafty new year to you 🎉🎉🎉

Love it, the colours and the pattern. 😍About the vulkan sweater, I would unwrap the orange part and use another colour more similar to the colours, you have started with or unwrap the whole..About the penguono, use for example a colour like orange or purple to make the front edges. And to give it some "connection" to the back in petrol colour. Could be beautiful. Or you could use some textile matter, to decorate the edges with in some colours, that fit with petrol, maybe light purple...❤❤ Enjoyed watching.😊❤

Another vote for finishing the dameloppa jakke. For the Penguono I suggest the front bands/collar to be knit in the dark purple you have on the back. I think that will complement the pale colours on the front.

Yes! I participated the last 3 years. I enjoy it but am waffling about whether to participate this year... I had to LOL when you had to remind yourself not to sign up. I wasn't going to last year but I did anyway. I do enjoy it but agree that a lot of the patterns don't fit or are so strange that I don't want to wear them. ha! I would like to say, you are so hard on yourself! I thought everything was beautiful! To finish the Pengono (spelling) maybe use a lighter color yarn with a dark speckle to pull it all together! Personally I would order them from least amount of work to most to get that feeling of accomplishment! Happy knitting!!!

I love the feelings of accomplishment after ticking items off my to do list❤. You have some real beauties in your treasure trove but only special if you are happy seeing them again. My approach has been to finish the items that are close to completion and it still doesn't make me ready to put the item into immediate use, i start a gift box for the year. Good luck and don't waste any more time trying to decide.

Lovely wips! On Penguono, I would use that dark purple color for neck and front and light pink/grey for the bottom. And I agree, it's cute. I hope you make it through that I'll see it finished. 😊❤

I think you made some great decisions. Regarding the Steven West jacket maybe you could just add a small accent in the same colour as the back, to the front. A small crochet flower perhaps? Just pinned on as a brooch.

Since you asked us for our honest opinions: Damejakka Loppa-I think that yoke is rather “meh”, and it’s not about the colours. I just find the design doesn’t attract me. If it were me, I’d frog it. And I agree with you on the sweater with the braid at the yoke…not so attractive. The other WIPs/UFOs are keepers!😊

On the Vulkan sweater, I would personally not knit the braid. It wouldn’t work for me. On a “scrappy” project, you could give yourself permission to pick and choose elements. It’s a shame to sacrifice the beautiful yoke above. However, if you do decide to go back and work on it, blocking can help. Then decide if you rip out the braid. Perhaps that pink could be used elsewhere in the sweater.
