I never tire of looking at handknit socks! Love your Christmas collection. I might start one of those just for me. I have knitted so many Christmas socks for family members, mostly out of the West Yorkshire Spinners collection, but I don’t have a pair for myself. I have a ball of their Robin yarn on my shelf. Robins are very Christmassy to me. Maybe I’ll keep this one for myself! I’m a big fan of Opal and scrappy socks too. Just think, you could just knit dozens of single scrappy socks (same size of course 😅) and they would still match no matter which two you picked! I haven’t bought hand dyed sock yarn for a long time now. I prefer the more robust, good quality commercial ones, and the fun colours. Danielle Jorge (littlebobbins) has quite a few Christmas sock designs, although I haven’t knitted any myself. Love your collection of Christmas socks, Ina. My favourites are the Sugar Plum Fairy and the candy cane red and white striped pair. Olivia Villarreal (This Handmade Life) has some beautiful Christmas sock patterns. I have knit her Snowy Night pattern using West Yorkshire Spinners yarn. I very much enjoyed this episode - lots of inspiration, thank you.💖

Thanks for this presentatin of your festive socks box. My favorite are the candy cane socks, they sure look quite festive. I only have a few pair of Christmas socks, but you sure inspire me to knit more. I've knitted many but always end up gifting them. Christmass shadow night by Christelle William Noël Givré by Elyse D'Amours Designs Christmas Tree Socks by Woollen Knots. Depending on the colors you choose these can also look quite festive : Self Important Socks by Deborah Kemball It is a free pattern on Ravelry. I made some in red and black. How do you join your ends on the scrappy socks? Weavin Stephen?

I usually twist the loose end around the working yarn as I knit the first 5-6 stitches with the new yarn. At the end of the same round, I’ll pick up the end of the working yarn and bring it under/over the working yarn as I knit the last few stitches. Hope this made sense, Brit? ☺️
