Wishing you all the best with your goals! My three highest categories are school tuition for my three kids, groceries and transportation. We cash flowed building our home so no major home expenses.

Housing, food, then the third thing is Care credit debt from my cat going to the emergency vet. That sum is interest-deferred until next December, so just making payments to have it done before then. Car is a very close 4th, but we don't drive too much.

Rent is the biggest expense, car loan is the second (I’m hoping to pay my car off next year), and savings is the third place. Hopefully I can save up for a nice emergency fund! Great video! I downloaded your annual budget template and it’s already is insightful. Thank you for sharing!

Being single my largest expense is Housing & Mortgage which is a bit over 50% of my income with 4% interest, then its usually things I buy on credit card which is typically around 20-25% if I just buy what I want, Investment is as much as I can put in after everythig is paid, usually 10-15% and the rest is just other bills and stuff. One thing I'll change for the next year is putting aside money for car maintenance every month, before I just put it on the card and paid it off as just another expense.
@PersonalFinancewithLeila
@PersonalFinancewithLeila Ай бұрын
That car maintenance savings will be a game changer!! Thank you for sharing!

Taxes by far, then housing, then investments, then travel. Normally investments would be greater than housing, but I have some major renovations planned this year.

My wife spends $400 in fuel per month. She drives a 2008 V8 truck. We are planning on selling it and commuting to work together as our jobs are nearby. We are also gonna cut our eating-out budget in half next year. On average we have been spending $400-450 per month on that. Outrageous! Thanks for everything that you are doing! One quick question, what are your thoughts on AI? Are you thinking of adding a new source of income using it? Happy new year, and best of luck!

Thanks! 2 of them had large bonuses and 1 was free for the first year. The one with the $395 annual fee is Capital One and they give you $400 worth in points every year so it makes up for it!

Renters insurance while paying each month living at your boyfriend's house is a wild concept, but if it protects you then cool. Other option is to get married and have shared assets when you start living together. Maybe that's a more traditional approach these days. Like anything with finance, try to simplify when possible

OK this is cool but how do you track how much money has gone into that specific category? do you have a ton of checking accounts? do you have a column on your sheet that tracks how much money you’re allocating for that category and another column that shows how much you’ve spent? maybe you keep everything in a HYSA?

I'm expecting to pay almost 40k in taxes and over 50k in debt payments (mortgage, car, retirement loan, and student loans). Then we are paying an extra 40k in debt (paying off car loan and retirement loan). My next biggest expenses are daycare (15k) and home maintenance which is also typically near 5 figures a year. We are really trying to get our expenses down.

Hi Leila! For mint mobile, how is your coverage when you’re traveling outside the US? My fiancé uses Mint and I have ATT but her service didn’t work when we were visiting Canada earlier this year.
@PersonalFinancewithLeila

Mint does have an option to buy an international passes and I see for Canada it's free roaming. When we travel internationally usually just my bf buys the countries SD card and we use that and I'll just use wi-fi so I'm not 100% sure! I may try to use it next time!
