It isn't a crazy thing to say that governments can become tyrannical, and in such a case it would be useful to have assets that are completely unlinked from you. Regardless of what you think about the event, The Canadian government did freeze bank accounts of peaceful protesters during the trucker convoy. A very serious thing to do, without money someone can not get gas for their car to go to work, or get groceries to feed their kids. basic survival can be at stake in that situation. Hopefully you would never need non-kyc bitcoin, but having that asset is the ultimate security

Your bear case is not a bear case for a bull market, it IS the bear market! Typically bear cases sound like 120k, base case 150k, bull case 200k+. Nobody knows really and 500k predictions are not as crazy as many think because they underestimate scarcity and the dynamics of price action.

@@FlorisDVijfde Hmm, yeah. Anthony Scaramucci and Michael Saylor seem to be very convinced that this SBR will come this year. I'm still sceptical, but I would not be surprised too much. We should not forget that buying Bitcoin with USD is basically going short on USD. And Trump is a USD fan in the first place. So I expect they will declare the current stock as a SBR very quickly. But I think it will take longer until they will actually buy more.

I have more of a Bull case based on market cap versus world market Cap. Lots of nations are currently changing laws in favor of Bitcoin . If you look at the market cap of Bitcoin now it's still less than 1% of the world's wealth. It has only gotten 1% over 15 years. But now the world is looking at it the world is considering it Nations are changing laws in favor of it. What if we were to gain an additional 1% of the world's wealth just in 2025? I believe that could happen. Not sure what kind of price that would be but I think it would be high. Tell me what you think?

People find Dollar cost averaging to be a good strategy. It's not a certainty that the bear market will happen or that it will draw the price below current levels.

I think the US gov't should start to allow taxes and students loans etc to be accepted for payment. That way it can store the BTC w/o buying it straight away, and pissing some people off who do not hold it yet.

Remember it may seem like profits but for example if you bought 1 bought BTC and it doubled to 200k, and you sold let’s say half so you got a 50k gain…that money is not REAL money. It’s fiat FAKE money. Half its value will be degraded in 10 years. So what I’m saying is, holding BTC is real money, USD is just a medium of exchange for now. It’s a sunken cost to hold a bunch of USD that doesn’t increase in value. So it make seem like you’re capturing gains but those gains are fleeting. If you keep that in BTC that money will continue to grow.

I don't hate anyone trying to better their life by taking some chips off the table. Do what you gotta do! Just be aware that things don't usually play out the way we want lol. Eventually the 4 year cycle will break, and Bitcoin won't come back down 80%. Eventually I believe Maximum pain will be a big portion of the Market Selling off, And then being left behind.

How I see it, as they are structured now it's almost impossible for a real implosion. They would need to take on way more debt with over lapping and short term due dates. Which would make zero sense for them to do.

@@bitcoinnotcrypto MSTR is a machine that runs hot, but that's how it's designed. I don't think it'll fail as long as it essentially does what it has already done.

It would be extremely hard for MSTR to blow up. Even if bitcoin would go to 10k, their bonds are unsecured, have a 5 year period and they could pay those back by issuing more stock (not converting the bonds but getting cash to pay off the debt). MSTR will probably lose a lot of value during the bear market in which case it would be the best no brainer bargain stock ever.

I think real estate gets a bad rap in all of this. Yes I am all in with bitcoin and MSTR, but real estate made me a millionaire before I turned 40. It provided me with massive cash flow, a huge tax shelter and a hard asset that did nothing but appreciate, and appreciate a ton. If you do your upfront homework with the numbers, and do a good job with screening your tenants, it’s really not that bad at all. I ran everything myself and I would have months where I didn’t hear a peep from a tenant. I never once had to take a tenant to court, I just talked to them and treated them like I wanted to be treated. Remember with inflation, hard assets like real estate go up and real estate has gone up more in the last few years than it did in the previous 30 plus years, why? Because it was due to inflation, cheap money from the fed and the fed will be forced to do cheap money again. I actually wish I never sold one of my buildings for just the cash flow and tax shelter, I would just be putting it all towards bitcoin and MSTR. And my building would have more than doubled again since I last owned it and rents have done nothing but gone up. And with inflation, the average person won’t be able to ever afford a home, so due to that, the rental market will continue to be very hot.

It's really simple. Businesses that switch to a Bitcoin treasury and use their income to increase their Bitcoin holdings. No good reason for housing to continue to be a store of value.

At the end of the day, NAV premium needs to be back over 2, it's now at 1.764. Stock price is undervalued, hard to exit for a while . Saylor lately said in an interview that he doesn't mind if NAV is down to 1.5, scary in a sense.

What you haven't considered is at sub, $300 MSTR holds much more BTC on their balance sheet than when the share price was $550. A strengthening balance sheet is POSITIVE. MSTR's ATM share issuance is not DILUTION, BUT ACCRETIVE! This fact is being missed by most naysayers.
