One of the most comprehensive edc videos I've seen and love the little stories or explanatory pieces behind each item. My takeaway is using the field journal cover as storage for more than cards. I would also suggest trying again a leather key organiser like Jibbon (if you haven't already) because I had to find something to quell the jangle of my keys.

Awesome video! Congratulations, post more! 👏🏻👏🏻 It would be really cool to see how you carry the items, whether in your backpack or on your body.

The algorithm put you on my front page. Watched the whole video You have a cool kit, must have taken years to collect and perfect it. The hair tie on a carabiner is such a cool idea. I have long hair but never thought of carrying a spare tie on my carabiner instead of my wrist I wish you talked more about your bag/bags you use to carry all that stuff! Cheers from Warsaw, Poland

Thanks! Yeah, this kit has evolved a lot over years of use. Some of the individual items have been in there for a while. If you like this kind of stuff, it is easy to get wrapped up in wanting the latest and greatest thing all the time, which is why I try to make it a point of never upgrading or replacing something unless I have a real reason to do so. The hair tie thing comes in handy all the time. Sometimes I keep one on my wrist, too, but putting it on the keys means I never forget it like I sometimes would on my wrist, and it never gets wet washing my hands. I think I want to try adding a bongo tie on there, too. That is not useful for hair, but great for wrapping things up. And yeah, I’ll probably do another video or two about bags in the near future. I’m new to this and didn’t want to make the video too long.

I’m also from Warsaw, Poland :) YT algorithm brings me here …Cool video man! My latest edc: 940 magnacut, free p2 and green olight arkfeld. AirPods 3, amazfit gtr 3 pro watch with iPhone 15 are my daily digital devices. What I would suggest is a better edc knife all other stuff very useful. I need to check hero clip :) Cheers!

Hey man great video, you just appeared on my front page and this is a very interesting and fun to watch. I recently bought a cheap knife and a zippo just to have some stuff that hopefully can last and don't use a freaking USB cable ha! It would be cool if you show what other pocket knife you have or how you ran the server you mentioned and the set up of your phone, anyways great video, have a nice start of the year, cheers from Argentina

hi! great video 😊 i was wondering if you could go more in depth about the downsides of having your onyx boox poke 2 color ereader. i was thinking about getting one, but now i‘m hesitant after you said you wouldn’t recommend onyx again lol 15:30 - 15:38. thank you very much 😊

Hey! Thanks! Yeah, the Boox Poke 2 Color is still a pretty awesome little e-reader, even a few years after it was released. My frustration with it stems from the fact that I somehow received the wrong international version of the device when I bought it. I live in the US and ordered it in the US, but received the version intended for the Russian market. Not exactly sure how that happened. But, because I have the Russian version, none of the software updates work. I reached out to their customer service a few times asking for the update files, and they’ve always ghosted me. There are a few bugs that are annoying, but I just got used to them over time. For example, the numbers and the enter button don’t show up on the PIN lock screen anymore, but I just know the pattern for my PIN and know where on the blank part of the screen I need to press when I’m done, so it isn’t that big of a deal anymore. And apparently one of the software updates improves the refresh rate and ghosting to make the device a bit better for image-heavy content without needing frequent manual refreshes. It is just frustrating researching it online to see that they’ve fixed the bugs I’m trying to fix, but the company won’t give me the updates! I still use it all the time, though. It is still my favorite way to read regular e-books. And it is a perfectly fine way to casually read comics or check field guides, as long as you realize that e-ink color is kind of muted and washed out compared to a phone or computer screen. I think it would take a generational improvement in color e-ink before I finally decide it is time to switch devices. If you do go with the device, just make sure to get the right version for where you live. Also, apparently I’m not the only one with the this frustration, but it isn’t an issue for a ton of people. This is one of the only articles I found about someone being in my situation with it. wow thank you so much for your detailed response john 😊 your comment has helped me a lot! i will definitely look into getting the right version for where i live. i can’t believe they sent you the wrong one. that is so strange! it’s also disheartening to hear how unhelpful their customer service is. i’m so sorry about that 😞 i’ll do more research on the ereader because i’m still interested in it. it looks to be the perfect size for me and color is something i definitely want to try. i appreciate you again for taking time out of your day to respond to me 😊 i hope you have a wonderful day!
