My 2025 Gold Britannia arrives from Atkinsons. Is £2K+ for 1 oz too much ?

after a few beers I bought a 1oz gold Britannia and within 24 hours Atkinsons delivered it. Do I regret it Absolutely NOT !!!!

Is £500k for a 3 bed house too much? Is £50k for a watch too much? …. Assets with no material value are priced way beyond their worth, gold has real value and is hugely undervalued. Should be £20-30k / Oz in the real world.

😮Oh yeah definitely gold is underrated but you wanna know what is really SILVER!!!!!! I believe that silver will be at a $100 an ounce in the next 3 to 4 years II just started my I won't say coin collection is more of a retirement I'm only buying PF70 coins I have a couple to have couple of gold eagle sets and then the rest of my collection is mostly silver PF70 ed moy collection and IThink everything is just gonna it's gonna go skyrocket and because silver is a better conductor than gold it has a lot better qualities than computer parts and etc need and they brought the buy something for $30 and ounce rather than something that cost $2700 an ounce so I believe that silver's gonna be a very sad afterthing but you have to buy investment grade coins so they can grow you know I'm hoping that I'm doing the right thing I just put all my money into this and I'm on disability cause I have spinal issues soon letting's It roll and I know that I'm not gonna get a fast return it's gonna take 20 to 25 years to get Them to really mature and growing value and be more sought after because they only make 1 year and if you aint buying no matter what time you missed the opportunity you have to go through other thingsGet all my stuff through the United States gold bureau Texas they are the best they have everything in the best part of autumn is they will buy your golden silver platinum or palladyum back off you in 2025 years whatever it takes for them to mature and you don't have to worry about find in a buyer in the awesome store your precious metals Yes it's like Fort Knox in Texas literally check them Out they have a really goodbye back program program and the other thing is that you can't lose money with them because if you buy ACI buy an ounce of gold right now it's 2700 saying 3 is it drops down to 1500 I appreciate that United States gold bureau will give you back whatever you paid for that at that time and you will basically not take a loss and It's amazing so check him out and ask for Bruce Marshall Jones

Looking at bullion investment. I do like the 99.99% Britannia compared to the 91.67% of the Sovereign. However, I prefer the £1 face value of the Sovereign to the £100 face value of the Britannia. They are both VAT and CGT free, but HMRC recognizes 500 Sovereign's (a Monster Box) as being worth £500, whereas it recognizes 100 Britannia's (also, a Monster Box) as being worth £10,000. I like the look and purity of Britannia's, but I'd rather fly under the radar.

@@ashb8572 hello, it all depends on premiums quarter Brits sound good. I only bought the half’s as they were cheap. Sovereigns have low premiums and easy to sell when the time comes.

Look at pre owned silver . You only pay the VAT on the commission. I use Chards at Blackpool. Excellent service. As of 12 Oct you could buy 66 toz of silver Brittanias for £2014 . I believe percentage wise bigger moves in silver to come. And silver is more dividable than gold in a emergency. But my self 60/40% gold to silver is a good stacking target.

I only really buy specific year sovereign or Britannia if they are years with unique designs either the portait or reverse side . Those are for my collection not my stack . For the stack i buy the cheapest gold soverign /Britannias as the purpose of the stack is to preseve ae much wealth as possible.

Don't know why my comment was removed by the KZbin bots? Yeah, gold is too expensive right now. That's why I been buying platinum tenths lately, Brits and Kookaburras. Also been buying pre 1947 50% silver coins off eBay. Got 16 half crowns at 77p over spot per coin. It was one of those buy 3 get 1 free. Got 4 free. They haven't arrived yet. No not a member of the stackers did think about it but don’t want to get in to deep as my first love is flying drones. I started with silver but I was running out of space lol.

@@smoggydrones5664 That's fair enough. I like platinum, it's cheaper at the moment than gold. I can buy 2 tenths for about the same price as 1 tenth gold. My plan is buy platinum tenths and then sell them on eBay when gold dips. They keep their premium so I should be able to sell them for what I paid for them and maybes a bit more.

Ohhh bare hands left fingerprints on coin i newer do like that . Would you like if you order a coin and they sell you not new and shiny but scratched and with fingerprints old owner ?! And i think if i try to sell it back to coin shop ( i will newer do that) :) they pay me less for reason that buyers want all new coins !

Yes i agree thats all is my now but i prefer to own a virgin coin that no one touch it or drop it on floor or things like that . When last year i change all my silver for gold they watch every silver coin and buy it for good price and no question !

It does annoy me when buying these coins that some companies like this one just put them in plastic bags while others put them in proper plastic containers Bullion by post usually do this for the cost of a few pence when we are spending maybe 2K with them I just do not understand why they need to scrimp in this way I just bought a box of ten off ebay they did not cost much but at least I am ready if the coin arrives in a plastic bag.

Be careful with Atkinsons's, they sold me a discoloured (Orange colour) 1 oz Britannia gold coin and never replied to my emails! The only reason a coin would have an orange tinge is when another metal is mixed in with the gold. I was cheated out of £1550!! Never again.

@@jonodunn2592 I found it hard to believe too, that such a reputable company would dismiss my complaint. They're based in Birmingham and I can't go there as I'm an elderly person with difficulty walking. I didn't know I could go to trading standards as I don't have any proof that they sold me the defective coin. I purchased 12 1oz Britannias in total and the other 11 were fine.
