First let me say Monica, your style is impeccable!!!! I am excited for you and your plans for the coming year. However, I am a little disappointed there were no black owned designers on your list. I know black designers would love the support from a powerhouse influencer as yourself. I am a woman of a mature age, 55 and I remember when huge design houses didn't see US in their creations and designs. Even today, much has not changed in they don't give the black influencers their true monetary value knowing the outstanding influence you ladies have. I'm like Issa Rae, rooting for all things BLACK in 2025!!!!

Gucci burgundy embossed slingbacks are perfect. The Van Cleef and Arpel ring is gorgeous and somehow accessible enough for everyday wear.

Hey Gurrl! Love your vid. yes we must dream big! Burgundy(BTW saw it on sale at Cettire or one of the Euro sites) you should get that broach stat. it is so you. I think you should get the frames. I know they are pricey as I am a frame girl. I put my scrip in them and do the darkest tint they allow as transitions so that way you can wear them 24/7 which makes the cost per wear go down. The kicker for me is not the cost of the frames…I think my most expensive pair were over 1k an Akoni/Balmain collab…but it’s the lenses that are the killer at an extra $600 but a great pair of frames do wonders when your hair needs to be back in a bun when it’s acting up lol. So again get those frames!

17:05 Kering also needs a new workhorse brand (in terms of earnings) since Gucci is down bad and Bottega's future is up in the air until people decide they like BV's new creative director. Demna's Balenciaga some people can't help but make excuses for.

My bag collection is ridiculous. I actually need to catalog. The 2 -3 items I’m looking at is the LV p9 in turquoise (I KNOW 😒)and another Loewe sneaker. And maybe a VCA Carnelian necklace. But not much at all. So, this next year is a low buy year for me and the one must buy is a vacation home. 2026 - Cartier watch.

I have several croc Birkins and mini Kelly’s and exotic bags are just really beautiful but here’s the thing, I’m not caught up with brand names. You literally can get exotic skin bags and fine jewlery and high quality items that you arent paying for the name. I am only ever impressed with women who have pieces that are not easily identifiable and it’s never about the name. Can we normalize just high quality items without the brand names.
