NEW to investing, don't know where to start , feeling overwhelmed by all the jargon and information. That was me not so long ago. Good news, you found the right place. So join me on my investment journey.
I am an average everyday Canadian just like you. For so long I trusted others to manage my investments and invested in mural funds. It took me a long time to realize this was not the best way to grow our money.
My goal is to maximize my returns and enjoy the fruits of my labour when I retire.
I have a full time job and manage an investment profile in my spare time. As you will see, it is growing each month.
I will share my portfolio, ETF's/Stock purchases, returns (Dividends) as well as any hiccups that I encounter. I call this the good the bad and the ugly. I want to keep myself motivated and if I can help some of you along the way thats a bonus.
Does this sound up your alley if so Hit that SUBSCRIBE button to follow my content and drop a comment.

I must say I love dividend investing, getting those payments in for just holding a company is amazing. from what I've witnessed it all comes down to having a Licensed investment Adviser to handle your portfolio. All thanks to mine, who has traded my savings daily from quarter a million to almost one million dollars in the last 9 months. ❤✅

Consistently investing in quality dividend paying companies with the right guidance over the long term is a relatively easy plan to create generational wealth.

Blossom is great when you have the Pro membership. I also have the same and you can follow me there. Until recently Blossom was not as advanced as it is now. Passiv definitely tracks way more and it is real time. As noted in my videos - I can deposit cash and Passiv is updated immediately. Blossom is definitely getting better. I did this video last year. It will explain more. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6OtfYOrrteabtksi=NtuP8eLDwa08Jsar If not let me know and I will do another with your feed back as hour mother first person to say they don’t understand Passiv Thanx very much for watching and the positive comments. I really appreciate it

For a newbie investor, you’re making it too complicated. If you move everything to VOO and without any further contribution, you’re in track to double your investment in less than 6 years. If 500k is your goal. I don’t want you to make the same mistakes that I made when I was starting. Right now, I own 70% in OEF and 30% individual stocks. I will rotate some to IWM shortly for exposure to small caps. I’m turning 55 and retiring soon. Good luck on your journey!

Thanx for the suggestions. I agree that VOO is a good investment. My shot gun approach when I started got me where I am today. Now I am trimming things down. Aka simplifying. But I don’t want to take any major losses. What are your thoughts on a market correction. It seems that this could be coming. You mentioned that you made Mistakes. What were they ?

@@THECRAZYCANUCKINVESTOR-od4gv I ignore macros on my investments decisions. Nobody can predict the future. I just look for great companies with amazing cash flow and great growth potential. It’s all about conviction and swinging for the fences once opportunity comes. I worked in an energy company, I still remember when WTI went -$20/bbl, I should have sold my house and invested it all. I pivoted to Big Tech, invested heavily in AI 3 years ago before it was AI/ machine learning. AI is real, it’s on bubble territory but the trick is finding the right one.

@@THECRAZYCANUCKINVESTOR-od4gv I don’t base my investment decisions on macros. Nobody can predict the future. I look for companies with strong cash flows and growth potential. Once you’ve done your due diligence, buying stocks is straightforward. However, the real challenge is holding onto them when there’s panic in the market. Conviction and consistency can waver during tough times. When you find the right opportunity, swing for the fences. My biggest mistake was during the oil price crash when WTI went negative at -$20/bbl. I should have sold my house and invested it all in energy stocks. After being a value investor for the longest time, I shifted to growth stocks. I invested in AI three years ago, before it became synonymous with AI and machine learning. AI is real, but the secret lies in finding the right companies. While the market may be frothy now, corrections might be on the horizon. However, I don’t have a crystal ball. As long as I understand what I’m invested in, I remain unfazed. Market rotations can happen anytime, especially for emerging markets and small caps.
