Firstly, this is "the" list and your work on telescopic controllers is the best in KZbin. I want to ask, for bluetooth controllers. How long can a phone go before charging it when it is connected with bluetooth. I will decide according to that info to buy a controller with a bluetooth or only usb-c connection.

Way to boost my ego!! Thank you so very much for the kind words wow! It would heavily depend on the game but I would say most modern flagship phones would be able to give you at least 5 hours on a full charge and with a healthy battery, and if not more. And that's when playing "more demanding" games on the App Store / Play Store, there are probably a few exceptions out there like say RE Village on iPhones but if we're talking proper "mobile" games, it'd be a safe bet. On less demanding games, it can be much much more! Edit: I should also add that phones usually have a much better "fast charging" solution than most so you can also get 50% within 15-30mins of charging on most flagships for another 2-3 hours of gaming.

The BSP-D9 looks awesome. This video came out at the perfect time for me. I've been trying to find a quality handheld experience with the Switch. Mobapad m6 HD's cramp my hands. NYXI Hyperion Pro's fit nicely and I love the stick caps but the controller randomly disconnects too often. Every telescopic controller i saw before this video has the right joystick positioned in a way that's just as silly and unergonomic as the original joycons. The BSP-D8 right stick looks more to the left than center and the D9 looks like the dream for ergonomics and heavy use of the right stick. Thank you so much.

Thanks for putting value as one of the criteria. Now we see that higher price doesn't automatically translate to best experience. Maybe the build quality is top notch, but if I can't enjoy using them, I'm not sure that's a good buy for me. On the flip side, cheap controllers might be the best solution since I commute everyday. If it breaks/lost, at least it's only the controller and not my wallet lol. Maybe I'd buy the premium one to use at home, and buy some BSPs for gaming sessions on train/ bus, that seems a good plan.
@GameTechTalk3 ай бұрын
I think that is a great idea. To paraphrase, you have people that always take the same sandwich at McDonald's, then you have the ones that like to alternate from time to time, try the limited edition items. Nothing wrong with being happy with what you like, I believe that I always get closer to knowing what I like by allowing myself to diversify. The solution you mentioned by having a premium and BSPs for your commute is an opportunity to do exactly that, diversify. By doing so, you'll have a better grasp of what you definitely prefer down the road, at least that's how I think! Cheers :)

Hey man, the truth is I almost never comment on videos, mostly because it’s not easy for me to write in English (it’s my second language and it’s very different from my first) and also because I usually just don’t . But this time I felt I had to. For the past few weeks, I’ve been thinking about buying a gamepad, and I let that idea simmer. Last week, I decided to go for it and started researching. I have to say you’ve really helped me understand the field and what’s best for me. I truly appreciate it. I can’t explain it exactly , but watching you makes it clear you’re a good person. Tomorrow, I’ll finally place my order! I’m going to get the BSP D9 because I’m used to the shape of the PlayStation controller, and it’s the most comfortable for me. I also loved the fact that the joystick, buttons, and gamepad are at a 45-degree angle, unlike almost all the other options, which I find just underneath, there was more considerations in order to choose that one but they aren't exclusive to this option its just that option has them also, anyway I believe that difference will make for a better experience for me. You’ve exposed me to the field so much that I’m already considering future options. If I buy another one, it will probably be the Galileo G8+ or something similar. But there’s still time for that. Anyway, thank you so much, and I’ll keep following you. I’m already eager for more content! :)

I'm glad you found the product that will serve your needs, and glad to have been an ally in your decision-making. I think you have the best approach, start with something affordable, that scratches many boxes, get acquainted with the "sport" and you know what? If things continue the way they have, the G8+ will be surpassed in a year's time, maybe even 6 months, who's to say. I'll be there then to share with you the latest and greatest options! :) I hope to continue to help you determine what your gaming needs are in the future. Cheers!

And the S9 also has bluetooth connection so we're still able to play games like cod mobile.
@GameTechTalk3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your trust! The G8+ and S9 is an incredibly difficult debate to have because really, there is such a fine line that defines which I would say I prefer and quite frankly, I might have different answers on different days but it all boils down to how one does most of their gaming. If you are tethered to your phone/tablet, then it's a no brainer, the S9 it is. Lately, I've been finding myself doing a mix of tethered and untethered a lot and that's where the G8+ takes the lead for me. Either way, they both are phenomenal options and Abxylute also has a fantastic software solution, which leads me to believe they are laying down a foundation from which to build from. Such a brilliant solution already as it is, I'm already excited for what the future might bring!

Congrats, this was a very thorough and entertaining video. Subbed :) I recently bought my first telescopic controller, a used Kishi V1 for 32.5€. Seeing your two lists, now that sounds like a massive mistake. I'm considering the M15/Memo S3. Would that be a considerable upgrade in terms of Dpad, and joystick quality? Also, how inferior is the M15/Memo S3 to the Galilleo 8+?
@GameTechTalkАй бұрын
Not a mistake, the Kishi v1 was great and should've been what Razer built from rather than changing their design completely. That said, I'd say the M15 is an upgrade on every aspect, including sticks and d-pad. As for M15 vs G8+, inferior might even sound too harsh, it's more that the quality is obviously not on-par, like build quality that is, but it's not to say that M15 feels cheap, it's pretty good, moreso that the G8+ feels a cut above.

Good morning bro Great tier list although I wish you would have gone into more detail stick wise So which one do you recommend the most for heavy aim focused games for example apex legends on GeForce?
@GameTechTalk14 күн бұрын
The Telescopic market is not as "stick forward" as standalone controllers unfortunately, and I don't understand why. That said, the M05, the M15, the G8s and Abxylute S9 are pretty decent but I'd probably give the advantage to the Razer Kishi Ultra and ELO Vagabond. The Kishi Ultra does have ALPS though so the risk of drift exists, whereas the Vagabond has a pretty robust hall-effect solution, which is pretty impressive for first-timers in the space.

This video is designed as a "quick feedback", I have a hands-on and full review video on the X3 Pro where I address the exact concern that you had. In the meantime, I am happy to confirm the information you are looking for, the X3 Pro will not work nicely with a case, as in the connector is not long enough for a stable connection, let alone one at all. If you prefer to not remove your phone from your case, which I totally understand, I would advise against the X3 Pro as this will be a problem guaranteed. I like the idea of having a deck style controller like the M05 for my phone but idk if getting a traditional style will be better. Alternatively, is it better to save up longer to get the G8+?
@GameTechTalkАй бұрын
Ahh thanks for the kind words! Personally, I'd say the M15 is worth holding for. In order of preference: G8+ > M15 > M05 > AoBing . The one thing that could make the AoBing take more space for you is the 3.5mm but you sacrifice rumble in the mix. Also when talking rumble, the M05 has shown to not have as great compatibility as the M15, don't know why. Ultimately, the M15 is a superior experience, especially if you play first-person shooter games. It can also poll higher and while it may not have as many options as the G8+, it's still extremely close for what it does, the G8+ just ultimately does more. If you have no intentions of plucking the controller on a tablet, the M15 is putting you very close without charging you the uplift in price. I hope this helps, cheers!

I can’t make a decision between the abxylute s9 and the gamesir g8 plus. On one hand the S9 checks a lot of boxes, I don’t need to charge it, has passthrough charging and has a great app from what I’ve heard. I am however, worried about the usb connection failing like in the g8 Galileo. The g8 plus is appealing because it’s cheaper, there is no usb c so no potential hardware failure there, but the trade off I assume is latency even though people claim there is none. I heard the app isn’t that great in comparison to the abxylute and it’s another device I’ll have to charge which kind of sucks in my opinion. I’ll be using whichever I choose exclusively for ps remote play and occasional mobile gaming on an iPhone 16 pro. Which controller is best for PlayStation remote play or pxplay, and which will handle the camera bump of the iPhone 16pro better with a slim case?

G8 is alternative to S9 because I might not be able to get it on my country. I like Tessen form factor, in that it is foldable and I'm confident in throwing it on my backpack. X2s is much smaller than G8, but it doesn't have headphone jack... If ROG release Tessen with heaphone jack and hall effect trigger and thumbstick, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I honestly didn't care about the S9's gyro and other feature, but the d-pad looks comfortable...

Maybe this sounds a bit off topic, but it does relate to some models on the list (for example the gamesir x4). Have you thought about doing reviews of cell phone coolers that fit with this type of models, because Telescopic Game Controllers are booming, but the heat generated can be a long-term problem that affects the life of the equipment. Because I have seen a large category of these and well it is difficult to say which one... or that it is really good and does not break down after a week of use?

Memo S3 is listed at 40 tops, that's one major reason. Whereas I can somewhat partially agree with what @Xx3SPAZxX said, I can't quite fully. The EasySMX M15 (or Memo S3 phone) is not only not great for tablets, it's not compatible at all unless you SERIOUSLY mod it. Like, buying a new ribbon cable, cracking it opened, etc etc. On the other end, the tablet version does indeed not work perfectly with every phone, for example, the iPhone Pro bumps is somewhat of a nuisance, but it's useable still. My RedMagic? No issues at all with the tablet version. That's why. The tablet version WILL WORK on phones, some better than others. The phone version WILL NOT work on tablets, and then the price thing. That's where my logic was but if I had not taken these two into account, I would've rated them both as A. Yes but it's a different protocol. And that protocol is only active when you are connected (and using) that specific device whereas AoBing could be connected bluetooth to your PC, while still capturing the audio from the USB-C plugged into your phone and outputted to the 3.5mm jack. Other devices that have both bluetooth and wired don't do that. I explain it a bit more into the AoBing review but quite frankly, I would recommend to not put too much thought into it, it's gonna be a useless feature for 99.9% of people to be honest. Yup, I had two break on me too, the quality is not what it's made up to be. However, the warranty experience was positive so I'll give 'em that but I'm ready to move on from Backbone until they release new stuff.

So there is Memo S3 Bluetooth at aliexpress. What would you recommend between this and g8+?
@GameTechTalk2 ай бұрын
Unless I'm misunderstanding, the Memo S3 with Type-C does have bluetooth, is that what you are referring to? Or do you mean a new model with no Type-C and a battery to use wirelessly? Because the Memo S3 has Bluetooth 5.0 which is definitely not as good as G8Plus, not comparable in terms of performance and reliability. Bluetooth on the Type-C Memo S3 is more of a convenience thing than a solution you'd want to use regularly. But if you mean a new Memo S3, maybe they improved the bluetooth revision.

@@GameTechTalk nope, im talking about a new bluetooth version. Some ali listings have updated their memo s3 variants, and now some of them include a regular one, tablet one and bluetooth one (and picture does not have a type-c connector), but there are no reviews at the moment for this variant

bro, I'm thinking about buying gamesir x3 pro or g8+, which is better to choose for heavy games like zzz, wuthering wawes and others? I have realme gt3 with Snapdragon 8+ gen1
@GameTechTalk14 күн бұрын
If you run into heat throttling issues, it's an easy pick. If you don't, the G8+ is definitely the better pick in my humble opinion. Not saying the X3 Pro is not great but rather that the G8+ is greater, that said they do have features that differentiate each of them.

That Elo Vagabond stands out to me, i just wish they made a tablet version also....

The "overly gaming" aesthetic is usually indicative of one of two things, they completely nailed the ergonomics OR they overdid it and it's too excentric for its own good. I'm willing to put my money on the first option but I'll test it out first hand very soon. You got me excited for it just now, thanks!

@@GameTechTalk Ergonomics can be improved in my opinion. Lots to learn after our first product :). The app is being improved weekly as well. Just playing catchup at thsi point but lots of people love the controller!

A fair warning to people who are interested in X2s bluetooth...the controller randomly turns off mid game in DS4 mode on the latest firmware. It could be a major issue for people with iOS devices. I did try downgrading the firmware, it didn't fix the issue sadly
@GameTechTalk3 ай бұрын
I wasn't aware of this issue, thanks for bringing it forward for viewer to be aware. Hopefully GameSir will fix this soon with a new firmware.

Where does the 8Bitdo Ultimate Mobile controller fit in this Tier List??

I’d need to have it in my hands to be exact but I think it’s somewhere between A and B leaning towards B
