Try pouring black paint between the light pipes to deal with the light spill

Ive always wanted to build an open art installation that was extended from the light sources through complicated light pipes to display on one end with a classic painting or still life rendered. Someone would first view it from the painting, then walk down the length of the light pipes and finally view the light sources. It would be to visualize how the objects we see, which are typically light bouncing off of a surface, can also be replicated by emitting points of light from a surface

This is neat! I'd really like to see one of these push the limits of the printer resolution.

This idea would be a good match for all these OLED keyboards which have the display (far) beneath transparent keys.

There is also a ?MIT? paper out there on making 3D printed lenticular lenses for parallax graphics. Possibly... combined for 3d display effects 🤔

Do a circular boolean cut out the size of a uv flashlight and taper the size and remove the spacing on the front of the optics to make a resin optics pinpoint cure light.

Invert the display when it gets higher number of pixels
