I've only recently become aware of you and your journey of overcoming your incident... i have a disability suffered at birth and refuse to look at myself as anything but normal... because this is MY normal ... im impressed at your resolve to not let your current situation stop you from what you want to achieve in your life... i have in my own situation been determined to follow my own path and also refuse to let my disability get in the way of my ability and to try and follow the dream of what makes me truly happy... so stay strong mate... your focus is inspirational to those who dream to dream and refuse to let their barriers be barriers... i hope that you get to where you want to be... i will watch with hope... good on you mate

John Z isn’t he the maddest lad. A race car driver gets his legs cut off due to one of the worst motor sporting accidents and his first response is “guess I’m gonna need a new steering wheel”, not “oh poor me” or “I’m a victim”. He is my superhero despite being nearly twice his age. What a guy my Billy my Billy!

Dude, your attitude to this is so positive, from the day of the accident till now. I think it’s fair to say that the world commends for you it, really an inspiration. I remember seeing another video from you saying directly of your surgery that “there is no use crying about it” such a soldier man. In some respects I can relate, when I was about your age I had a pretty severe sporting Injury and was out for more than a year, all I wanted to do was get back to it, people think you are crazy, but for me it was just normal when the passion for what you do drives you (no pun intended). It makes me so happy to see you do what you do and be the positive and inspirational person you are, you are wise beyond your years young skywalker. Keep doin what you do. Love your channel 4 F1 parts by the way.

Thank you for sharing this. I'm sure it wasn't as easy for you as you made it seem. Saying that, I am *so* glad to be able to wish you a very Happy Alive Day! And you are absolutely right to say what you did. This _is_ our opportunity to say thanks to the NHS by doing what is right. Sadly some doctors, nurses and other medical & non-medical staff have died from contracting the virus from their patients, but this is neither stopping those who are current employees, nor many retired doctors, nurses and other staff who have volunteered to return to help. It's bad enough that we're losing these heroes in those circumstances, the least we can do is prevent any from catching this horrible disease outside of the hospitals and clinics. My own doctor phoned me from home, even though she herself had the virus! She was still working remotely and called to ease my mind about something else. I am exceedingly grateful, but I did tell her off for working while ill, even though it was over the phone. We've known each other about 25+ years, so we can be like that :) Everybody, please take this seriously, whatever country you're in. All people putting their lives on the line to help the rest of us deserve our unending gratitude. This is not the time for false "freedoms". It doesn't make you big or clever. The harder thing is to stay indoors as much as possible, not to show off in front of your so-called friends (true friends would want you to stay safe and keep everyone else safe too). Remember that there are many very vulnerable people out there who are also at risk, just because they're not well or are in another state which endangers them, like being old. So do as Billy asks and stand up and be counted, by staying indoors and away from those who could suffer greatly if you don't. And Billy, _many_ happy returns of this miraculous day to you 🎊🎂🥂

I’d just like like to say, that I know everyone’s saying your an inspiration and I think you should embrace that. I know how much I’ve loved sharing this story to my family and possibly my class in home learning, back here in Australia. I feel it is a really positive thing to share to my classmates, by maybe helping them look at life in a different way and it highlights how lucky we all are.
