Those sound great! You should try this one: Kale (3 bunches) Romaine (1 head) Pineapple (1 whole) Coconut Water (from 1 whole mature coconut, approximately 8 ounces) Apple (2 apples) You can play with the proportions to get the sweetness you want. The proportions given makes about 50 ounces of juice, or approximately 3 pints.
@KarolinasKrafts8 жыл бұрын
Jack Banks that sounds like a smoothie rather than a juice since you're adding a liquid, coconut water. Right? So you're blending it?
@Jack-ny7kn8 жыл бұрын
KarolinasKrafts No, I use an Omega masticating juicer. I add the coconut water to the juice for flavor.

A few things... 1. You can use the adjustable discharge head to get even more juice extraction. Your discharged material still had a lot of juice left in it. 2. Apple and Pear seeds have small amounts of cyanide in them. Don't put the seeds in your juicer. 3. No need to peel the carrots.

My Breville juicer is awesome. I rarely have to chop anything (apples and cucumbers go in whole). Some skins like oranges require peeling (others like lemons and limes do not).
@only4posting3 жыл бұрын
Old video, but, These Breville - like juicers aren't slow juicers, but.. lazy juicers ! Not saying this to you, but, many people, specially young adults, they have no problem with spending 600 bucks on a new apple device, 300 bucks for some Bluetooth headphones...or 400 bucks on some other shit. But the day they decide to start juicing, even if a friend is using a slow juicer, they will pick a breville-style juicer, because it costs less than 100 bucks ! These breville/etc can be ok, if we aren't serious about juicing, and only do it like one a month. But anyone a bit more'serious' about juicing, will get a slow juicer. I've used both, boit the quality is night a day. If we juicer, eg, carrots, on something like the breville ,we can be happy, if we get 10% of juice. So much waste... If we juicer other things, not only +70% of the juice will be separation/foam, but because of the heat, the juice will oxidize in less than 1 hour. Of course, a slow juicer will take 5-10 times longer, but... all the juices will be incredible. For example, I get a yield of 42-44% juice, when I juice pomegranates (if I have like 10 pounds of pomegranates, at the end, I get 44% of the total weight, as pure juice). 4 days later, in the fridge, the juice is still amazing. With a brevile, we can make a juice in 1 minute. But all the wasted produce, the ton of separation and foam, the oxydation, the quantity of juice made, the overall quality, etc etc, aren't worth it.

Other juicer videos show juicing the whole beet with tops (leaves) and all, does it give it a bad taste if you use them? I tried using broccoli in one recipe and radishes. The broccoli gave it a bitter taste and smell, I don't know if the radishes contributed much, the carrots tend to mellow the other ingredients.

@michaellim70025 жыл бұрын
Same with me. I still keep my Nutribullet 1200 Series, Nutri Ninja Auto-IQ 1000W when I purchased a cold press slow juicer from Kuvings. I alternate the uses of Blender and Juicer. I use the Blender twice everyday but only use the Juicer 2-3 times per week only. The ingredients for using the Juicer is almost 4 times more expensive due to the wastage of so much fiber. Sometimes I recycled the fiber from juicer in my blender for making smoothies or using it to add to my beans or bone soup.

@KarolinasKrafts That's probably the most unscientific response I have ever heard. What credentials do you have that allow you to make such an insanely wrong comment? You will probably get diarrhea because if you are only drinking juice (not recommended). Eating the actual greens (not juicing) helps incorporate fiber in your diet, which helps against diarrhea. As for getting rid of toxins...that's what your liver and kidney are for.
