My 50th Anniversary Hike of The Cleveland Way - Part One

I first walked this, my favourite of the National Trails at the age of 14 with my dad. Now join me 50 years later as I walk it again solo, a lot has changed during that time. the equipment has got lighter but more expensive, I now wear shoes not boots and fish, chips, peas and a pot of tea cost me £26. Wow times have changed.

Just two years older than you and watching this down in Sunny Essex with thoughts of doing this next year, just to get an idea of the terrain involved. Experienced backpacker with previoous experience of the Pennine Way 1976 North to South and 1978 South to North, C2C 1980 West boundand 1982 Eastbound, John OGroats to Lands End 1984, Land End to John OGroats 1986, took a break for a few years then 1990 Complete UK Coastline Hike Clockwise. Loking forward to getting back on the trail for maybe a month next Summer. All the Best Tony in Essex
