Starting all over again with a little one at an older age has taught me patience and that my body may just need more time but I'm truly loving every moment seeing all 3 of my babies grow into their own personalities. I'm 9 months pp - you're doing such a great job! Arrow is absolutely adorable. I have had a very similar experience with the belly changes - nothing changed until baby was sleeping through the night more and was nursing less. Hormonally there is so much going on in the beginning - people always think about the changes in sex hormones but not in the cortisol levels, grehlin/leptin levels, etc. They are so important! Agree with another commenter that it takes so long to create and support baby it really needs that long (and then some!) for your body to change. I wish our culture was more supportive + understanding with women instead of expecting so much so soon.
