I notice thoughts and distractions i use a brain hack of breath. When I notice my thoughts are coming in when it's not time to address the thought. I take a breath in through my nose and exhale though my nose. Dismissing the thought to stay engaged on the task at hand.

Another nice one for procrastination is to do a count down after which you have to start, i.e., count 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and then start with the dishes. Think I will try using it with the one in the video where you tell your brain that you're just going to do a bit for now :-)

Thanks Gregory I found another one this week in a Ted talk . I have trouble sometimes getting to sleep and getting my 7 to 8 hours in . I have tried various hacks like staring at one point in the room or focusing on breathing . Sometimes that works but then sometimes my busy mind still keeps going and I fail . But I tried one called tapping like a drummer on your legs for around 4 minutes at a steady rhythm while in bed and breathing . It worked . I will send you the Ted link so you can see it your self . Not sure the neuroscience behind it but I am sure there must be something to it .

when I stopped smoking, I found that one of my addictions elements were Heart pulse addiction, when I was smoking my average pulse were 100, when I stopped it became 75, I tried to find solution which was to use jumping Rope, and I think it was solution for that,,, then I discovered overthinking comes essentially from the need of body to increase pulses, i linked between overthinking and the time i do, i found that most time I overthink is when I get up and have nothing to do. I could say my favorite for overthinking is jumping Rope

When I'm into procrastinating, I tell myself that I would do it for just 2 minutes. I usually just continue doing it, sometimes for hours. If I feel like procrastinating after 2 minutes, I will start doing something else because I care about my mental health. Let's start with my two minutes right now.
