I've been getting into vintage holiday stuff these past few years. But I also really love shopping for stuff in the stores too. I agree that everything is cookie cutter, same old same old though. But for me, the fun is the hunt of finding things in the stores that I truly find special and know I will keep and treasure for years and years. In 20 or 30 years, they will be vintage too 😉

Hey thank you so much for watching my video ❤️ and yes for sure! I feel the same way when hunting to find the vintage ☺️ There are definitely some great things you can find in stores, I just personally feel like the majority of the stuff doesn’t have the thought behind it anymore like the past. The way you’ve explained it though seems exactly perfect. It’s the “constantly buying EVERYTHING new every single year” that just seems and looks exhausting. Again, thank you so much for sharing and I hope you stick around for future videos, I have a feeling you’ll enjoy them! 🎃🎄✨

Just found your channel. Love vintage Halloween and Christmas. Your haunted house planter would be perfect to put foam in up to almost the top and stick ghost lollipops in. Don't see them much anymore but take a tootsie pop, cover with a tissue and tie with string. Then use a black marker to make a face. I had them when I was little, made them every year for my children and now granddaughters.

Oh my goodness this is so incredible! Love that tradition that started with you and then you continued it with your children and now grandchildren. I feel honored you shared that with me. Will 100% be trying this with my son. Thank you so much for watching my video and taking the time to share that 🥹❤️

I just got very big into the vintage Halloween! I’m having so much fun looking at decor. Vintage ghosts and witches are my absolute favorite! I still like some modern decorations but I’m getting a lot more picky and am planning on getting a bunch of pieces when I get paid!

I love that so much! It’s honestly so much fun and makes the holidays that much more special when you set out pieces that you had to search for and put a little more effort in finding 🎃🎄🍂! Thank you for sharing with me and happy hunting!! 🥰

I’m 24 years old and I much rather prefer buying vintage/antique home decor because things back then were made with more love, thought, and care. I do like some new stuff but yeah when comparing the prices I would want to get something that was made with better materials. Now things are made with cheaper materials and have a high price on them. It goes with everything though like houses, cars, Halloween props ( from retailers), etc., were built better back then compared to now.

Love that so much! You said it perfectly. I feel the same way. Even though a lot of vintage items (90s especially) are from some kind of “big retail” store, you’d get so much more for your money and especially now when you find them at thrift stores because the quality & detail was made with the consumer in mind, now a lot things are made as fast as possible to make as much money as possible for as little as possible 🥴

Nice haul. Calm down with saying the 80s is almost 50 years ago. Lol. I'm an 82 baby. I'm still young. I'm barely in my 40s.
@theholidayclassics2 күн бұрын
Thank you! Hahaha it’s definitely not old ❤️ You and my husband share a birth year! I always say it’s just impressive for products, but for people 40’s is still considered young!

@theholidayclassicsАй бұрын
I appreciate you so much for watching! A lot of the stuff I’ve purchased I’ve gotten from incredible vintage sellers on Etsy! Mostly because when I was looking for vintage holiday pieces at thrift stores and antique malls it they were saying they weren’t putting their holiday stuff out until around September 😳. I knew after 4th of July though that they would start sprinkling pieces in! So it’s a mixture between Etsy vintage sellers and thrift stores! You can also go to Estate sales & eBay, I personally haven’t done those yet!
