Imagine being more afraid of being pregnant than HIV positive... wow. One lesson I have learned, parents who are too strict stop nothing from happening but, parents who talk and have open communication with their children, allow them to make better choices. My mom was very strict. I had both parents in my life, my dad wasn’t as strict. I still ended up pregnant at 15 years old. I had my baby. He’s a 22 year old man now and doing very well for himself. You’re so real, I really love that. God bless you and I pray you continue to have a long healthy life. ❤️

The thing is that she knew better although she was naive to think this guy was going to be her love. She compromise her values. Never do this. She put this relationship before God. We have commandments to follow for a reason. The Bible does give principles on how to choose a mate. Do not be unequally yoke. Put God first in everything. Seek out wisdom. We must always ask for the wisdom of God when considering someone for a significant other. God has warned me of several in the past, and it saved me from heartache and pain. She also was heavily influence by love novels and movies which have an influence on how women and men see relationships. My church discourages us from looking at movies and reading such novels. Research even talks about how movies and novels have an influence on young people in making them compromise their values. They are not based on reality. Satan tries to manipulate us through those movies and novels. It's clear she just wanted to be in love and have love, but she should have relied on God's guidance. I have made stupid mistakes too thinking I knew better than God. I make these points not to blame her because she already takes responsibility, but other young women and even men need to learn from this testimony to make sure they don't follow down the same path. God forgives us and that is why we serve an awesome God.

As a 20 year old your story has been so touching to me and has made me more cautious then I've ever been. I'll be testing regularly with my partner even if protection was used

I appreciate the realness of your channel. Thank you for sharing your truth with us and trusting us. I had the same perspective on relationships at 21. Life revealed its true colours with time. We had a conversation around HIV with my colleagues two weeks ago. Despite us being Social workers, there's still stigma and fear around living with the virus. It's easier to counsel clients, but the anxiety of living with the virus is real. I referred them to your channel. You bring so much hope. I think I'm so ready that if I were to ever be diagnosed as HIV positive, I'd have sufficient coping mechanisms. Once again, thank you.
