I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 8. Stopped medication when I was 16. I m 43 today and my ADHD is getting worse. Cope mechanisms that I learnt when I was younger stopped working. If I can describe my ADHD with one word, that word is CHAOS.

I have never related with a KZbin video so much. I have been diagnosed ADD, and I suspect that I'm on the autism spectrum. Throughout my life, I've had so many obsessions: writing, singing, magic, standup comedy, film special effects makeup, reading, cooking, acting, mask making, arts and crafts, scaring at haunted houses, painting, and modeling. Over the years, some of them have come back and faded away again. There was a series of three months where I performed standup every week and wrote a completely new routine each time I performed. That's at least twelve different routines! I've scared at most of the haunted houses in my town. But then it just goes away. Thank you so much for opening up about this. It helps to know I'm not alone.

I'm 13 and I got diagnosed last year. My social life before I had a therapist and medications to help with adhd was terrible I would act crazy around people and couldn't make friends. But when I discovered your channel I noticed that you are very similar to me, last year I got into cardistry and I have that same power that you have, I get into something master it and then get to the next thing, but I'm happy to see someone thats like me.

I hear you, man. 100%. This is me. It's a positive when I can focus it in on my day job. It can absolutely be a negative if I'm focussing on (relatively) unnecessary things, especially when I'm doing that instead of putting my attention towards (real) work, relationships, sleep, physical health, etc. I can re-design a full website or edit a cool video in one long overnight session while at the same time forgetting to eat dinner and not calling back a friend or family member who is expecting me to. Keep talking about it! Keep sharing! (Glad you don't ever stop doing magic.)

also I kinda feel similar atleast with video making. There was a point that I really loved just editing gaming clips and posting them just for fun. But idk at some point every time I tried to start editing, it felt really heavy and draining. Keep doing what you love to do! :D

Well, really for me I'm here cause YOU are the interesting dude. I dig the magic, but I also loved your travel coverage. I'd probably like the jujitsu or squid fishing stuff as well. I remember seeing someone said that it's the content it's the presenter, and I think that's true. People could go other places for the magic stuff, but they choose you cause they like your style. So really, in the end, you do you man. We're here cause you're fun to watch and digitally hang out with. 😁

I have Asperger Syndrome, a form of autism, and I definitely recognise the obsessions you describe. I used to be obsessed with the game of draughts, always playing or reading about it. I had no difficulty keeping up at school, so plenty of time. When I finished school and had to start working, it meant I had less time to spend on draughts, so the obsession faded and while I still love the game, I often struggle to motivate myself to get into the books to study.
@ginsan81984 жыл бұрын
Idk if this is related to ADHD like yours, but I feel like I relate to you to certain level. I was and have always been obsessed with many different things. I was into drawing at one time that I made random comic books when I was a kid and now improved my drawing ability. Later at life I was obsessed with creating and writing songs that now I have about 80-ish unpublished songs in mind, hundreds if we count the ones without lyrics. Currently I'm obsessed with finance and T-shirt designs. But yeah... when you're too obsessed with too many things, you end up being mediocre at all of them. I'm still pretty good with drawing and creating songs tho, so maybe I need to start focusing on the things I care about and potentially save me later on.

Thanks Eduard! I've been following you for a good while so I noticed those away times. So as other people as well. My son has ADHD as well as some Autism's symptoms. I'm gonna follow you now even closer cause my son is 11 and it's hard to understand what he's going through cause he can't analyse things like an adult. I think it'll be easier to understand him if I use another person as an example that can explain the complications and complexity of the symptoms. So thanks alot for opening up!

My son is 12 and having the same problem. Fortunately, thanks to my dear Eduard I became to understand what my son is going thru and I figured out that is not a problem anymore: I just listen to him more, search what's makes him happy and the most important thing is let him be himself. He is unique! As your son too! Thank you Eduard, I love you!

I wish we could either wear a device or just mentally be able to flip into "productive/obsession mode" whenever we wanted to. We would be able to reach our full potentials. It would be great if logic, justification and desire was all it would take. Sadly all of that is irrelevant, if your brain says "nope". I don't understand how I can want to do something, but not be able to get myself to do it. There is a part of me that says "no" that I can't override.

OMG!! Everything in All My whole life Is comin together😲..Was everything just an ADHD? I didnt even know such a Symptoms exists 😲. Now everythings really coming together, Me being a Digital Artist, Pianist, was a Magician, pursuing Engineering, was learning MMA(but i quit now). I have never relate to anyone so much.. When i was Learnin Magic, i would lock myself in my room whole day and spent All night till morning Literally. I would took my cards out when going out even with my frends., would practise even when Watchin TV, literally everywhere i WAS OBSESSEDD.. But all of a sudden my interest fades away and i no longer practice it. On hind sight, since i was soo OBSESSEDD.. Everyone thought i was a Prodigy as i was Learning Difficult moves in a Short Span of time, I make New Gimmicks and figure out Card Gimmicks with my past knowledge of Arts n Crafts along with My Engineering stuufs.. All those logical stuffs and hard work made me figure out stuffs easier.. I was so good super fast everyone was Hopin for me to become a magician, even comparing me better then our Town Magician(who won 1st in a Fair Show). After my interest in magic dies i now go back to Art.. I drew sketches and now transist to Digital Art.. Like DEJA VU, This wholee thing repeats itself, i was sooo excellent in Digital Art my frends n Followers on Instagram considered me one of the tops in Digital Art in our town.. Even i couldnt believe it. Like before this time art is different for me as magic is different to u. Art has always given me peace, i am n will keep drawing Art with or without the obsession. In Hindsight The Benefits outweights the cons.. Made US Multitalented and gave us Choice of Interest to choose. ThankYou so much man for sharing i was skeptical at this video like wthell is this but decide to watch anyway and now its an EYE opening to my life, im Glad ive watched this. Made me UNDERSTAND MYSELF BETTER ALOT. 💕💕 As Always *PEACE*

Well about losing passion... I am into magic for around 4 years, but now I believe I stopped. I mean I do some practicing on cardistry, and when people ask me for hobbies I just say im a magician 4 years now. The first 2 years we like the most exciting for me, I went out and did magic to others, I was with my cards everywhere I went, school, hanging out with friends pretty much everywhere. But then I just got bored probably. I did magic my third and fourth year with no passion. I was just doing magic cause I thought this is my everything and I cant quit now, but I just left it as a hobby :/

Have you ever practice so much you have forearm pain? It always brings me to stop for a while after many long arduous hours. Then I rest to recover and repeat. It has lessened since I’ve started training my grip and forearm extensors.
