This is a comprehensive list of everything I carry on my BDR's and motorcycle adventures.
I haven't done many long adventures so this list will be more refined throughout my upcoming trips. I plan on making another gear video on my upcoming BDR where you can see everything I have in use around the campsite and throughout the trip.
If you have any video suggestions or feedback, please comment! Thanks for watching.

I had some hiccups in the audio... my mic has been malfunctioning randomly lately. Sorry... I'll get a better one soon.

Very thoughtful. One consideration; don't go cheap or skimp on a tent. It's your home away from home, be comfortable. Get the best tent that will fulfill your needs that you can afford.✌🏾

Personally I don’t like the more expensive tents because they are lightweight but super fragile. I like the mid range tents that are heavier but much more durable. Definitely important not to go super cheap though.

Good video. I’d add a tourniquet to the first aid kit, or have it in your jacket. Bleeding out can be fast if you’re unlucky. Just make sure you’re trained on using it.

Another great video! Quite thorough. I suppose some of those items where just one is needed when in a group ride (tool kit, first aid kit for example) can share the carrying duties among the multiple riders to alleviate weight and room issues. I picked up the same bike you have with ABS new from a dealer last week.

Thanks so much for watching! My dad and I prefer to each carry everything and not share much in case we get separated and need to fix something on our own... but distributing the items is certainly a viable option.

Consider clothing made of Merino Wool, (such as Klim). You can go multiple days wearing the same clothes without washing, Merino Wool is odor resistant and has temperature moderating properties.

My dad just brought this up... I never knew it existed. Odor resistant is a huge plus for adventure riding.

I can appreciate that this is a bit of a hustle for you, filming your adventures and doing this channel. You're a teenager in California with tens of thousands of dollars worth of gear. Profits saved from previous hustles? Somehow has the credit to go into debt for it? I hope not. Most likely case I think is your parents are well-off and it seems like your dad got you into this stuff.

A lot of it is passed down from my dad, he's big with adventuring and stuff. I just figured since I have so many things I might as well document some of it. And I ended up absolutely loving video editing so yeah.

You should try a Sawyer squeeze water filter then you wont have to carry as much. Ive been using one for years backpacking

Thanks so much for pointing that out! I've been doing a bunch of research for water solutions and this might be my next addition.

Nice video! The only thing I would question, if you are trying to pack light, is the fire extinguisher. You are already carrying water, and should be surrounded by dirt most times on a BDR, which can both be used to snuff out a fire. Personally, I'd replace it with bear spray or lose it altogether, depending on where you go. I'd also point out the need for a satellite communicator (which you showed) when traveling remotely. Essential to be able to call for help if you get injured or stuck, communicate with family and friends when out of cell service as well as get weather forecasts. But I'm sure you know all of that already. Safe travels!

Thanks so much for watching! I forgot to mention that the Garmin has satellite SOS which is very important. About the fire extinguisher... it's not essential but I like to have it anyways. Personal preference though!

I don’t know man. A decent fire extinguisher is one of those things that is useless until it’s an actual lifesaver. I’d put it in the same category as a Spot/InReach, especially if you’re going to be cooking in dry environs.

@@903lew I'm not saying having the means to put a fire out is useless, but you are already carrying water, so it feels redundant to me. A satellite communicator has no alternative that you are already carrying (unless your phone allows for satellite communications) and is definitely a must-have. In any case, it doesn't really matter. I carry a camp chair, which is a luxury, so who am I to talk? 🙂
