The problem with Daicos this year is the Pies won 4 less games and had 2 more draws. I'd argue this could potentially drop his total by about 4-8 votes than what it "could have been". The problem with Neale is that he missed 2 early games which means he's already playing catch up, but he was integral in almost every win. Cripps had 3 or 4 pretty mediocre games in Blues wins which will likely see his total below where it "could have been". If there is ever a year for Bont to win, it has to be this year. Dogs made finals with 14 wins and he kicked over 30 goals. If I was to have a bet, i'd have to put the money on Bont simply for the value.

Fair argument but Cripps was almost always Carltons best player especially in the wins, predictors also have curnow or McKay stealing votes off cripps but we all know that the brownlow is a midfielder award so i think Cripps will get more votes than expected

@@kaineverett3220 I mean he was huge in a lot of their wins but not all. Having said that, they looked after him in 2022 when he won 😜 Round 0 win - 23 touches, 1 goal, 2 clearances. Round 4 win - 20 touches, 1 goal, 6 tackles, 3 clearances. Round 12 win - 22 touches, 2 goals, 5 tackles, 3 clearances. Round 13 win - 19 touches, 0 goals, 6 tackles, 7 clearances.

@@Anfa18 only didn’t poll in one carlton win (round 0), I had a feeling he would get more votes than people expected even if it wasn’t always deserved, round 12 for example he won the game for carlton on his own, stats don’t always tell that story

Any gamblers out there, check out the odds for Richmond players. Tarranto and Rioli are equal favourites at $3.75. if you believe that it is a race between those two, then splitting bets gives 187% return. Even if you play safe and include Shai bolton at $5 the profit is still 25% Also Dylan Moore is paying $10 to be top of Hawthorn's list. That is way overs in my opinion. Newcombe being overwhelming Favourite. Beware, I have given bad tips before. Seriously gamble for a little bit of fun, don't get caught up. It can add a bit of interest to the Brownlow count.

I would disagree on two or three. I think Noah Anderson will be top at GC, I cant remember him not being in the best 2 or 3 in every single win. He has a better outside game than Rowell, players that carry the ball get noticed. I think Dylan Moore for Hawthorn will easily get more votes than Newcombe, he played effectively on ball most of the year and hit the scoreboard. He could be one of the rare team leaders who get there with one and two votes rather than threes. I think Harley Reid will top the WC list he stood out in WC wins, there is possibly as little as 22-25 votes going to WC players in total, two best on grounds might be enough. Waterman is a smokey. For Freo, I think you are right with Serong, but Hayden Young "should" win in my opinion.

For the first time in over 20 years I’m not going to watch the Brownlow live, because I’m a dogs supporter and I can’t stand to see Bont miss out again. Last year I had to go for a late night walk to calm down after Neale won. Hopefully Butters surprises everyone and gets it.

Great video, agree with your sentiments on Bont, Daicos will win because they love him simple as that. Is he the best player in the comp not in my opinion. If you were Tasmania who would you throw the chequebook at Bont or Daicos… Bont can play anywhere. I’m miffed that people think Cripps has been the best player this year.

Bont will be lucky to finish top 10. I consider the Bont to be a good player but not a great player. He rarely plays good footy against the top teams. His better performances are against the lower teams and always under the roof at Marvel. If you watch the Bulldogs closely, it is like watching U15's footy where the coach instructs his team to always look for a particular player to make that player look better than they really are.

I will drop a couple of dollars on an 18 leg* multibet with your tips and contribute the winnings to your channel. * It might not be 18 legs, a few players like Daicos, Neale, Cripps will probably be so short that they are not even quoted. It is 2am, I will edit after I get some sleep and tell you the odds. Edit: It came out a 14 leg bet with Daicos, Cripps, Neale, and Merret not quoted. It came to 634.40 - 1. I put on $3 to win $1903.22 (I dont know where the extra 2 cents comes from.) A few choices boosted the odds, Gulden is way behind Heeney, Rowell is way behind Anderson, Sheezle and LDU were close to even as were Tarranto and Rioli.

@@leftovercrass5210 I have my own changes, Daicos and Neale are staying in mine. I am swapping in Dylan Moore at the Hawks, Reid at WC, Noah Anderson at GC. Maybe a couple of others, Richmond is a tough one, I would like to go with Hayden Young for Freo, but will probably stick with Serong.

Nick Daicos and Lauchie Neal do not deserve the brownlow this year at all, both have had very average seasons. I think Josh Daicos deserves it way more than Nick for collinwood and for the lions i think players like zorko and ashcroft have been far more influential this year

For fun I put $5 at 101/1 on D'Ambrosio to poll the most votes for Hawthorn. Doubtful since umps need to be told who the best players are before they poll well, but ya never know. Despite how meaningless the Brownlow is, I'd like to see Bont get one. Prob should have a couple already, but it's not the best 'player' award, it's the best 'midfielder in a winning team without any decent teammates who steal their votes' award.
