I agree I like the way Weddle attacks it I’d of been fine with 1 of Cadman, Weddle, Philipou or Humphrey and Essendon picked Tsatas I’m still pissed about it! This draft was such a guess who the Covid draft complete and dons shat the bed i’ll be real I wanted Zach Reid, but not Cox or Perkins I hadn’t even heard of either of them till draft night and I’d been following the draftees. I liked McDonald, Holmes, Bruhn, McCreery and Pedler I wanted Essendon to pick Reid, Holmes and Bruhn! I couldn’t believe when Holmes got out of the 1st round I was like how he was a top 12 prospect and of course the cats ended up getting him the team I hate the most 😤.😊

IMO you missed one key point that needs to be taken into account....player wages and salary caps. When Tassie enters the competition North, Suns, Eagles are among teams that will have their current crop of young players at a career stage of getting substantial pay rises, I therefore predict that these teams will be prime amongst teams that Tassie will target to poach some of their elite talent...Sheezel, McKercher, Reid, Walter, etc will be highly sort after and prized recruits for a new team with AFL concessions at their fingertips. You don't have to go back to far to see how salary caps can force teams to let go of young talent....Suns, Collingwood, Carlton are recent examples.

I think West Coast is capable of more than 17th. Even though the defense will probably be garbage and we're getting a new coach, that coach knows how to win. He won 7 out of 13 games as interim coach for Richmond in 2023, he has a good attacking mindset that should help this team win games and as seen in 2024, if the players can work as a team they will win games. I'd imagine West Coast wins 6 or 7 games and place 15th or 14th.

The Jackson trade and our finishing position this year has meant we havent had to rely on that tactic for the last couple of years. I wouldnt be surprised to see us keep trading away a furture first round pick to keep entering that years first round.

I think 13 wins and 9th is optimistic considering we still have big questions hanging over us like can we win away, can we win the close games, can we close out games when we're well in front at 3 quarter time, if Tex doesn't fire then who will stand up and kick our bags of goals for us and will we actually blood new kids and in their appropriate positions or will Matthew "Pyke2.0" Nicks continue with using his favourites and senior players even when they're not performing or costing us games.
