Ever since the Huntington cactus Botanical ASMR, I find myself running my fingers down the thorns of my Madagascar Palm. It has huge thorns that makes a deep sound.

Hi Summer... I'm a tropical forest conservationist. I've been looking at your videos a while now. They allowed me to visit famous botanical gardens and collections that I know I'd never have the time or money to do. Then about a few minutes ago I discovered that you're... FAMOUS! Wow. Great Work there!

I love Aloes. There’s just something about them. Save peat bogs and don’t use peat. Coir works well.

I love aloes! There’s one with beautiful salmon colored ruffle edges...and the flowers are so pretty. Gasterias are also really interesting. Doing this outside is so nice! 🌱😎

Lovely video, thank you Summer. I love Aloes too. I'm from the Southwest, NM, and aloes will always remind me of the beauty of Mexico and New Mexico. I love you pots, especially the round art piece, it looks so cool with the aloe you chose for it, that looks like a piece of art itself. -I like Jade plants for the same reason I like aloes, they both come in so many different forms and have such interesting structures. Jade plants look like Southwestern Bonsai.

My mom and I have always potted our aloe in regular potting soil and every year we get anywhere from 10 to 80 pups off them. We never thought to pot them in desert soil mix. Maybe the mix will provide less nutrients and reduce the amount of pups made.

I just bought an aloe on impulse in one of my fave local shops. She was sitting there about to bloom with these gorgeous tiny orange and green blooms with tiny orange tips on her little jagged edges❣️. Such a super showy girl, I had no idea it was an aloe till I came home and did some research. Perfect timing with this video.

You’ve inspired me to finally repot my aloe, or should I say “pot”. It’s been sat on my kitchen counter without soil since I discovered root mealies in my plants. It’s so hardy it’s literally just been waiting for new soil since I cut off the root ball and let it callous over. But I think it’s finally time to give it a new home! I love how tough aloes are

Thank you for your suggestions and information. Do you cut off (trim) the unsightly dried brown tips of your succulents? Take care and be healthy.

Very timely for me and my sister-in-law who are in the process of replanting (apparently incorrectly- lol) some aloe. Thanks so much!

Aloes are all fun and games until you get a species or a hybrid that incessantly pups 😀I've got a hybrid (no ID) that pups so much it is problematic... I've banished most of its progeny to surviving outdoors in zone 9a (Houston). In one year, my aloe produced 80 pups because pups beget pups!
@dianeallen68192 жыл бұрын
Wow that is insane!! 80 in 1 year?!! You must be doing something right 👍
@Fabdanc2 жыл бұрын
@@dianeallen6819 I think it's more the hybrid than me 🤣 Some aloe and agave species are just very aggressive -- like agave quadricolor.
