Thank you so much for posting this video! I’ve been suffering with alopecia areata since the age of around 5. My parents and doctors couldn’t figure out how to make it grow and all they did was stick me with needles or give me medicine. I always wore my hair in braids to cover the bald areas. After watching your video you’ve given me new hope in growing my hair out. It’s been about 4 months since I first saw this video and your update video all of your suggestions have worked for me about healing the inside. I still have bald spots on my edges but they have grow in so much. Thank you for giving me the confidence to try to fix my problem and the courage to share my story and journey with others

God bless you! So happy to see you sharing your story. When I began talking about this a few years ago I came on youtube asking for help and I felt like there was silence. Today more of us are speaking about Alopecia and I commend you for sharing all that you've learned. Glad we are talking about his issue because it really eats away at our hearts and scalp. I am so thankful that I came across your video. Thank you for boldly showing and telling your story!!! I have been on a spiral trying to figure out what I can do with the spots that have mushroomed on my head. You have given me hope and inspiration. I know that I am ridiculously stressed and eating and sleeping po o rly. I will be changing what I consume and try to get off of this hamster wheel of blowing dollars on topicals that haven't done anything. You are absolutely what I needed today. Thank you! I am paralyzed with fear and shame. I need to calm down. Thank you!🙇

Faye I do not have alopecia but I love that you have shared your journey with us. I came here to see your story not expecting this. Also to learn how I can take preventative measures and maybe share with someone else going through it. Now I want to know what BC you was on because I literally have an appointment on Tuesday to get BC. I will have to do some research on the andro something you mentioned and find out what it is and if the BC I’m opting for has it. You are a lovely person and I also want to tell you that seeing your growth and glow up is aspirational. Do not let anyone tell you anything different. ❤️😍💪🏾💃🏽

Faye, thank you for very encouraging words! You have no idea how helpful and enlightening you are. I have had a few episodes in the past and like what you did, I obsessed and tried everything, after a few months it eventually grew back. Then I've had a very stressful year, I found 2 spots in February, one out two completely grew back and the other one is slowly growing. Then, went through a break up in June and now, noticed my hair falling out, I haven't found any new spots yet but I am scared that I will have new ones very soon! It's a constant struggle, it's so good to know that I am not alone. I'm so happy to have found your video. Thank you so much!

sis thank you sooo much for sharing and letting God use you. this video brought me so much peace from God. I have had Arm pit length natural hair. been natural 9 years....and after putting my hair in braids last December, when I took them out in February (last month) THE ENTIRE BACK OF MY HAIR had smooth, clean bald spots. I wanted to cry. I WENT THRU THE SAME THING AS YOU. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST SHEDDING OR BREAKAGE. the braids were loose and not tight at all when I put them in. I was just confused. the thing is, my mom's hair can grow in but she loses hair quickly and has bald spots. it's horrible. I knew it was partly genetic. I take hairfinity. the hair growth is coming in pretty good. but last night I noticed NEW bald spots. I woke up this morning crying. I looked for some info and videos. yours brought me tremendous peace. I'm not trying to get shots in my head. I know doctors treat the symptoms. they make no money by simply saying, "you need an alkaline or stronger diet." and I feel peace and know God is talking through you. I need to eat healthier. I get it. I will follow your advice. God wants me not to fear. I do feel embarrassed. I wish I would have appreciated my hair and flaunted it when it was longer and fuller. half the time I didn't want to be bothered with it and took it for granted. I was natural for 9 years, so I believed my hair should have been WAIST length, not arm pit length. thank you sooo much. sis If i need your help on my journey may I pls have your email, IG or FB?

Hello, I started watching you last year and had no clue about this video u til u mentioned it in ur new video. I put a relaxer 2 years ago and my hair fell in the middle from the scalp. Went to the dermatologist and she said it was tension alopecia from braids. I tried to tell her I never braid my hair but she insisted that’s what it was. I was devastated because I never experienced hair loss before. Now I’ve been natural for over a year and my hair in the middle surrounding the bald spot is breaking off and my hair line is thinning really bad. I still don’t put braids and I don’t wear ponytails. My hair is always in a wash n go. I will try everything you said in this video, but how should I keep my hair as a protective style. I truly believe God blesses you with the knowledge you shared and I know I will be healed in Jesus Name. Thank you for sharing! I love everything about you. You have so much wisdom. Thankful I found you!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU...Your words of wisdom have resonated so deeply with me today. I for the longest would stress about my alopecia. Recently I like you decided to embrace it and take my power back from it. I'm daily exercising, eating better as well as being more attentive to my scalp and hair. Which probiotics did you take? Did you take garlic supplements? Please keep us updated on your progress. Thanks Again😊💜

Kalia1 thank you for your kindness. My favorite probiotics are sold locally and aren't sold online due to required refrigeration. I do recommend the Dr. Mercola brand. I take those as well. And yes, I took a odorless garlic capsule. I saw great results. I'll post another update soon to let you know how my journey is going. 😘

I'm 21 years old, and already had to quit my job because of my alopecia. I've tried every vitamin, every steroid cream, been to the doctors 100 times and all they say is "you have to change your mindset" it's very easy to say that, I've suffered with depression and anxiety my whole life having alopecia has just ruined my life and all my progress. Will this ever go? Or will I live my nightmare forever😭

Yes, thank you! I am getting stressed and that's like last thing I need. My doc said "aging" - aging! I need help. Going to try and see dermatologist. At least doc ordered thyroid and iron/ferritin. I'm with you, gut health is everything. Have really come a long way (gut-wise) but something must be missing & I don't want to let loss drive me crazy either. I ordered Restore and my go to has also been: www.shopmyplexus.com/christinalowther Edit to say first time here, I really hope you have more content! Subbed. I think I love you, haha. I'm so happy for you. Quick questions if you don't mind. How do you use and prepare the tumeric and ginger root? Does it make you loose weight and if so, I'm already a size seven and scared to lose the little I have, lol. I'm trying to gain a few. I'm not the healthiest eater, but willing to try anything at this point to help with my alopecia. Can you please share any info as to what I need to do and purchase?
@FayeInTheCity
@FayeInTheCity 6 жыл бұрын
shymaeshia Jordan hey! I took them all in pill form. I didn’t have to prepare anything. And the pills didn’t make me lose weight (though I wish they did lol). I lost weight when I changed my eating, though. I had a flare up a year after this because I stopped taking everything. I narrowed down my regimen. Pumpkin seed oil, turmeric and probiotics are a MUST. And I got tired of paying for those HIGH priced hair and nail pills so I switched to a one-a-day vitamin that had biotin in it. That’s all to take care of your inside. On the outside, deep condition EVERY week, use protective, low manipulation styles and apply pumpkin seed oil to your scalp. If you are taking them in capsule form, take a pin and poke a hole in a capsule and massage the oil into your scalp. Whenever I run out of probiotics, I don’t let more than a month go by without some. I take probiotics, turmeric and my daily vitamin daily (once I recovered, I didn’t need to keep taking the pumpkin seed oil)

Carmeleon Pouncey I sure will. The iron and odorless garlic were drug store brand (Walgreens). The turmeric and ginger were finest nutrition. The probiotics-I go back and forth between "Probiotic Select" (I promise, they are BOMB) by alpine sports products or Dr. Mercola Probiotics. Alpine is a little stronger and must stay refrigerated. The others don't have to. I also recommend pumpkin seed oil. I take the Now brand.
