The excavator seems way too small for the job? Or is it yours and it is all you have and use it? We had a 20ton excavator on our property many times and it is mind blowing what they can do. I do construction and have a 6 ton mini excavator. It is a great machine for garage pads,etc. but I would have no chance against a 20 ton digging a pond.

@@Mr.Digger Yes, a 30 ton would be even better :-) Yes it is a tough call. Putting hours on your own machine or getting a bigger one that cost a lot more upfront to rent but is much faster and more efficient. Time/money,.. Best of luck.
