“I need only (do xyz)” is absolutely a correct way to form a sentence in English lol it’s not something most would use in a casual conversation, but it’s by no means an archaic convention (as in, the convention is still contemporary)

i think i remember one of my grandparents telling me that was actually gramatically correct and the other ways were gramatically *incorrect* (there is a specific syntax to it) - they went to grammar school i believe, but that was like 70 years ago so it basically doesn't apply anymore

This is going to be my guess for the next game. So the game would start with you and tom nook in a plane. And tom nook is saying “we now finished the new horizon island. I have a new task for you in my old town that I own. I kinda abandoned them. So do you accept this new challenge”. Then you land in the town of new leaf but it all run down and you have to rebuild it all again. This town will be like the mainland. Then instead of villager hunting you will like have to send a newsletter to the villagers. You either can choose the specific animal species or just do it randomly form any animal species. So we still have control but not too much. Then like after you finish this island you will move to city folk town and rebuild that. Then on the new leaf town you will have the main street but you have to unlock all the shops and you have to convince the NPCs like the able sisters and like the older NPCs to move into them and you can help them to design it.

I also really would like for the next game to allow multiple islands for one console on separate accounts. I got rid of my original island because you can only have one save per switch and I wish I still had it. Excited for the new game however definitely!

i’d like to see Nintendo build more on the touch screen for AC if they’re releasing a successor to the Switch. i was excited that we had touchscreen functionality and assumed creating custom designs and furniture placement would be like the 3DS and Happy Home Designer, and was disappointed when the use of the touch screen was barely in ACNH

It looks like the Switch 2 (or whatever the new console is gonna be called) is postponed to 2025, probably because the launch games wouldn’t be ready for this year. Pretty sad, even if I joined the Switch party SO late cause I didn’t have enough money to spend lol, so I still got plenty to do with it personally.
