That was a premium apartment 60 years ago. It looks like your landlord has kept it in a lot better condition than some in that neighbourhood have. You'll find the bus service in that area better than most parts of the city. A lot of people don't like those old fir cupboards, but they are very durable and usually fit the space well as they were hand made. A few years ago the rent for a one bedroom like that would have been well above a thousand Canadian per month, but a lot of people have moved away from Regina and you can find better prices now. Sometimes landlords will advertise they have apartments as low as $400-$500, but those are usually extra small ones next to the boiler room, or in really bad condition. Not necessarily a bad option for a student, though. Enjoy studying.

This is a nice video tour, thanks. I live close to here and it is a great area of the city. Close to a large grocery store and good access to downtown and university. A safe neighborhood, in 12 years I have had no problems with crime.

Bro if you want to live with family then Harbour landing is best location for you as you can easily find good appartments and houses over there unfortunately if you Harbour landing doesnot suits you then Golden mile is a good option
