btw, I just noticed but If you want to cap your fps for your monitor at 240Hz I recommend capping them at 300 as you then get more recent frames. that goes for any frame cap. Just cap it slightly higher than your Monitor refreshrate and thank me later.

Is that really advisable ? Asking cuz, to do that you have to deactivate Vsync and having framerates higher than your actual refresh rate can introduce tearing

@@Sucrerie as someone that has a vsync Monitor: I tried it and it still is the same issue as it always was, vsync is a great fix for single player games to prevent tearing but when you reach higher frame rates (I'd say 144 and above and your monitor is at least 144hz) vsync can cause a lot of frame drops, stuttering and input lag. I personally couldn't tell the difference between keeping my frame rate locked at a high refresh rate compared to vsync. And if there are differences, in my experiences they were very minor and neglectable

@@Akai652 Ok noted, after it does vary from monitor to monitor, i have an 180hz oc monitor and i do see some although rare, so i keep the Vsync on and i don't really have any measurable input lag to me. Might also depends on person to person tolerances, thanks for your insight !

i cant say that monitor is a fps gaming beast, 24.5 is the best for fps games otherwise you would keep looking right and left even if your 80 centimeters away

Hmm I didn't really mean competitively. I played Overwatch 2 with this monitor a lot and the immersion is amazing. 24 will probably give you an edge in that sense, but when it comes to enjoying FPS games, these specs are absolutely amazing.

Depends on the game and its settings and you resolution, you won't go even near 144hz if you max you games graphics options, the monitor isn't what dictate how many frames you'll get out of your GPU. Although if you only play fast fps or MOBAs, yeah you'll get them easily
