100%... It's actually really important because a lot of people.. Most people, don't actually come back and let the consumers know they were wrong and these labels follow the product around. I think NI has been hurt by this in particular because a lot of people are using MPC (which is great, not knocking) and really quick to shut down the Maschine at first hint of issue. I think its great to see someone who is an avid MPC user give Maschine a real shot just so that people know both units are amazing in their own right.

@@nickgilday8946 you do know he was compromise ! You miss the part where he admitted that they sent him products ! This is the biggest problem with KZbin channels. After awhile the companies start sending them products for free or at a discount. Then they start to agree! Wake up!

@@TheEtbetween As a maschine plus user I think his reviews have been pretty spot on. I think if they were in his ear, he wouldn't have knocked them for something they were capable of doing. Most people wouldn't come back and admit their fault, they would just move on... In regards to companies sending stuff for free or discounts - you do know that's just how business works right? Like literally every company in the world who sells a product is going to give said product to people who have influence in that market. Sometimes it DOES come with a stipulation a promotion attached where they ask that their product is promoted in positive light. Sometimes the company is simply trying to make sure the reviewer has a full scope of their product with no strings attached. This wasn't a promotional video, NI isn't paying him to say positive things, so its up to the viewer to believe in the integrity of the review. As mentioned above, since bolo came back to follow up on a previous review and talk on things he got wrong or didn't understand says a lot. As does the fact that he is primarily an MPC user, so its not like its gonna kill em if NI doesn't give him hardware.

@@nickgilday8946 totally understand what you saying. However, this system is a hybrid system it’s not a total stand alone system. The flaws of the system still exist, the main one is the processor failure to handle complicated layers without the computer , some of the more luxurious sounds are unable to function without being connected to a computer. This not my opinion just look at the specs and read the keynotes. Even the audio imports are less than the 96 on the MK3. There really was nothing to apologize for just clarification. His main point was that it’s not a standalone unit. and even though they added some natural sounds, they are not of same quality as the non-standalone units. With that said, I have a maschine ! The instrument are amazing, however I will not upgrade to there current, standalone model until Version 2.

Bolo seriously levelled up with this one! You don't see that many producers and beat makers out there apologize for simple misunderstandings and own it and even though in my eyes, he didn't have to, he was compelled to because of his loyalty and g-code with us subscribers and followers. As a music professional, the fact that he took the time and himself back to fully understand music equipment and in the case of the Maschine+ earned stripes and respect (not like he ever lost it from us). God Bless you Brotha!

Do you have the standalone version of the Maschine (Maschine +)? If so, have you ever thought about syncing the Maschine to the MPC X and using the Maschine for melodies and chords (keyboard/synth stuff) and dedicating the MPC X for drums? I also have an MPC X, but I have a Force instead of Maschine and I plan to do something similar with my setup. I hope Akai also makes the premium MPC Key 61 plugin expansions available for the Force like they did for the other MPCs. I think Fabric or Fabric XL would be super dope on the Force!!!

It's so much easier and better do add all of this at the end during the mixing session. When i compose i do everything dry then when my beat is done i jump to mixing . I use the plus over the MPC. I started on MPC and switched... but I honestly think it comes down to workflow preference. From what I can tell both units do about... 95% of the same stuff, and the 5% that differs is most inconsequential. For me, I just found that the way I make music just works better with Maschine and the beats I made felt more "me". I am one million percent sure there are many who would say the exact same for MPC and I can't knock em for it.
