Let me say that your video is definitely one of the best I have seen. I spent 12 years in the Special Forces and have seen it all. You have put together a great Ruck. I am sure you have wash wipes etc. A small Microfiber towel sure comes in handy. On you pack shoulder straps, clip on your Microfiber towel so that you can wipe your face and hands while hiking. I might have missed it, always have a GPS especially now as they work almost everywhere. When you pack your main pack, add a Waterproof bag "Wet Bag" such as Trash Compactor Bag since they are heavy duty from standard trash bags, put the wet bag in first, then pack all of your stuff into the wet bag, you won't regret doing this. Fantastic video.

Six years ago! I have been looking into getting a molle II and just found this video. This waa great! I have a lot of the same stuff as you but you show some great improvements I can make. You really did a good job on this ruck load out video. I am definately getting a molle II. Thanks. I see you havent posted anymore in a long time. I hope all is going well and you are still getting out in the wild country. Thanks again.

Great video. Someone may have told you by now, but the 'sustainment pouches' do come with the ruck, if it's the complete set you purchase. You can purchase this ruck either as a complete kit with ruck, straps, frame, belt, and the two pouches, or as the ruck alone, or as the kit minus the pouches, depending on where you get it. I love mine. 5000 cubic inches with the 2 pouches, and easily expandable to 7000 or so, with additional components.

Like that rucksack and you've some good well thought out kit. I would keep the sleeping bag, and spare clothing inside water proof bags inside the rucksack. If you make more vids I will have a look.

Just a heads up I have the usgi 3l hydration pack and it fits perfectly between the frame and rucksack. Just make sure you grab the right lift handle as they are identical and end up in the same place.

If you plan on wanting more room without hussle, I would suggest the MOLLE II Assault pack. It attaches right onto the rucksack.

I didn't see a large knife or hatchet.... for firewood or shelter building. ... I added a Kukri from Kabar to my setup it functions as a knife , defense , and a chopper for wood...

a very nice review, well done! hope you had a better angle though LOL I use USMC ILBE and I love it so much. I myself too added that same Condor pouch on the top lid for for storing little items. sustainment pouches look pretty handy. there is no compartment for holding up a water bladder unlike the ILBE, right? it looks like it doesnt have any radio pouches, either. my ILBE is so comfortable on my back cause it has awesome padding on straps especially on the hip belt. how about the molle2 waist belt? does it hold the pack weight good on your hip area? kinda curious about that cause it holds up more weight than ILBE!

Thank you for uploading this and showing the pack off Completely man! I have a question for you, I just bought this pack, in Excellent condition like yours. I am wondering where you bought you GI waist pack? I've found a couple on Ebay and Amazon, but no one is guaranteeing the condition... I don't wanna buy a used and abused one for $20+ for my new MOLLE II pack ya know..? Any advice would be GREATLY Appreciated! Thanks again for the vid, loved it!

Thanks for the feedback bud! I got the waist pack from an army surplus store. I can't remember what exact brand it is and there isn't any tags on it. Sorry for the late reply and congrats on scoring a pack in such good condition. I got one for my dad on ebay and it was fucked up.

I bought one of those cheaper 55L packs on eBay that came with the mini deployment bag (waist bag) and a couple smaller molle pouches for like $20 something, that pack ended up being to cheap and I cut off all the webbing buckles and kept smaller pouches and mini deployment bag and the two other pouches and just added them to my Lrg molle rucksack. But my mini deployment bag is my first aid set up. I might buy a field surgical kit later on to go with it. But spending the twenty something bucks for the 55L pack was worth it just for the smaller pouches and mini bag. The two smaller side pouches are large enough for two rat traps and then some...

I'm curious which bladder thing you got, what size how much do they go for? Why that over a canteen< I saw those that for this for about $12. Nice setup.
@AlienDark126 жыл бұрын
Simply what is more practical; whenever you're hiking or rucking, it's far easier to use a bladder instead of a robust canteen which requires extra movement, and increased chance of making a mess.
