Thank you for taking time to prepare this clear and concise 101 class. So many other videos talk way too much and they don't seem to be prepared. You are very organised and I learned a lot and will definitely watch this video over and over again 🤓

Vicky, you are such a great teacher- providing simple and more complex suggestions. I originally watched this video about a year ago, but now after watching probably fifty of your videos, I better understand the diverse options we have to journal. Keep up the wonderful teaching videos- we loooooove them!!

Very very helpful Vicky. And you brought it back to the main point which you said at the beginning... “it’s about the process, not the supplies”. You gave a beautifully unbiased chat in a very down-to-earth manner. You’ve also taken my fear of doing mixed media pages and I now believe I can! TFS. 🌹 Rosie of Oz 🇦🇺

VICKY VICKY VICKY.....WOW.....I learned a whole bunch just in this video understanding the diff of this and that....and the uses for certain products...WOW....I wished I had seen this before.....this was awesome...... Now I must say...or ask? PLEASE do a video...taking your time to show us each of your pages on your journals....at the beginnings of your videos, sometimes we get a teeny glimpse....but I WANT TO SEE IT ALL lol....I am a hog when it comes to wanting to view your pages.....It would make alot of your fans SMILE to sit back and enjoy thumbing thru your pages with you...taking us on a tour.......of all of the designs you have completed thus far. The way you present your how to videos is just wonderful....I enjoy the little humors you do with your laughs and then "Ginger" comes along to get into the act....so cute....and the inspirations are beyond words...I believe I can speak for all of your fans / viewers. It is wonderful to find someone that will do all of this in short time and keep things moving along...and KNOWS what they are talking about without stumbling constantly. I don't wish to sound ungrateful, but often times alot of how to videos are long and slow moving and volume is lousy....no rehearsal or relisten before posting....and the unending times that the expression "Um" "Umm" Umm" Umm" all the way thru the video is so annoying...I have done alot of instructional type live sessions but I have always reviewed myself before hand. Just a little practice can make a better result. It is such a pleasure listening to you and very soothing to move along and watch your artistry take us on a journey and come to life......THANKS So much... Ken from Orlando, Fl.

Very helpful for us beginners! Gesso, gel/matte medium and modeling paste really confused me at first. It really helped to learn the importance of gel medium to make the surface non-porous for the pitt pens - which I'm just beginning to collect. I enjoy all your videos - the longer the better - especially the ones regarding art journaling.

Thank you so much, Vicky! I find the world of art journaling quite overwhelming, especially in terms of supplies - you just broke it down for me into managable pieces! Great that you also mention what the essential basics are for people on a small budget. I really enjoy your art journals (and your very informative videos!) and find them very inspiring! Can't wait to get started on this new adventure myself! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise! - I hope to see lots more of you!

I love all your tips! No worries on how long your videos are, they are always packed with information. I have a craft mat as well, but I mostly cover my whole work space with freezer paper shinny side up... It works just like a craft mat. When it gets old and grungy looking I know it's time to clean my work surface. I throw out the old and recover it with a fresh piece. Freezer paper is nice because it come in a long roll and covers most of my craft table.

After watching of tons of your wonderful art journal videos, I decided to invest in a set of big brush markers. They really are fun and versatile, and produce great results.I love to color on my stamps with them, and I purchased an extra brown and black just for that purpose. The small and medium fineline pens are also wonderful. Thank you for the inspiration provided to give me the push to purchase these products; I use them again and again. Also, who doesn't love gelatos! Thank you once again for the time (and talent) you invest in these videos for our enjoyment. Great eye candy!!!

Even though I have been art journaling for awhile, I think this was a very helpful video. I appreciate that you explained that art journaling is so personal, but you gave your opinion on the supplies you like to use again and again. We all love your work, so of course we are interested in what you used to create them! I would like to point out that the Ranger craft sheet can handle heat up to something like 500-600 degrees, so it is different than the pallette sheets in that way, although as far as using it for paint etc. . . They would be similar. You couldn't make a video too long Vicky, we all enjoy listening to you because your voice is so soothing and you explain yourself so well. Thanks for doing this. I also would love to see a tour of your craft/art room or area if you would be willing to make it.
@Lillian.M.9 жыл бұрын
Maureen Hayes Hi Maureen, that's a great point to point out - that the Ranger Craft sheet handles high heat. I know Vicky knew this ( lol ) but some times it's a feature that is overlooked by others. Thank You Vicky for taking the time to make this video, and all others too !
@vickyp9 жыл бұрын
***** True! since I never heat something on the craft mat it is really not important to mention. Like gel medium.... it is not really a glue if you look it up, it is actually made for extending your acrylics .... but this was a video about how I use my supplies...
@Lillian.M.9 жыл бұрын
Vicky Papaioannou Hi Vicky, you are exactly right, the craft mat in this video was only used for mixing, and placing the mediums on it, I was just thinking about Maureen's point, as far as in the use of the craft mat and what it brings when it comes to holding up to heat. Plus the fact the craft mat can be cleaned and used over and over again. Endless uses for the craft mat. This is what I love about you Vicky, you are always on point with the products you use, and how best to use them. Plus of course, these great informative video's, and beautiful projects, cards, designs, layouts, tips and tricks, and all the teaching you do and share with us, Teaching us how to create something beautiful ourselves. This is what a Teacher is all about, and you are truly an Art Teacher ! Thank You for sharing what you know, and explaining it so well to others. Thank you for sharing your gift ! God Bless You xoxo
