Sherise Roberts relaxers only remove 75-80% of your curl pattern. You hair will not be bone straight with a relaxer ...unless you have type 3 hair

Sherise Roberts I have 3c/4a low porosity hair and relaxers only took me to about a 3a/3b loose curl. I never applied relaxer to previously treated hair to prevent damage/breakage. My hair was about her length or longer back then.

Lol I've been natural for 10 months and I've only gotten 2 inches of growth. When I was relaxed, I was getting at least 3 inches in 2 months. Also, I've had WAYY more split ends with my kinky 4c hair than I've had with my relaxed hair. It's because my 4c hair gets tangled so much. relaxed hair just works better for me.

To be honest it only appears to grow faster with a relaxer. Technically your hair grows at the same rate, but of course... The shrinkage is real for 4 hair types. As they suggested, try to keep your hair stretched and don't forget to seal/protect and trim your ends.

I'm just choked to see all these negative reviews, I mean the title said relaxer routine so everyone who clicked on it already knows what she will be talking about why would you watch it if you are not interested in relaxer. This video was made for those who relax or interested in relaxing their hair, and people need to know not all natural hair are healthy either my friend has been natural all her life and she is 25 years old her natural hair barely grows and constant shedding while washing it , every other day they claim that there are multiple natural products but we are not even sure what the hell they put on those product, my cousin is 32 years old and she is been relaxing her hair for 20 years and her is amazing full, silky, and long down to her butt. People need to understand that what works for her hair may not work for you so please keep your negative comment to yourself I'm sure a lot of you are probably hating your hair texture so let her breath, and her hair probably looks better on than your hair. People are so judgmental if I'm not interested in something I don't bother to watch cuz I already know it's not for me. Stop blaming the relaxer for damaging your hair. Your hair became damaged because of the improper application of the relaxer. There are many people that have healthy relaxed hair. Some people don't follow the instructions on how to apply it and just do it their way. To be truthful, a relaxer really should be applied by a professional. I have seen people leave it on too long, baptize their hair in it when it only should be applied to the new growth and not to the scalp (trying to get that bone straight look). Any hairdresser that is properly trained and with a repeat clientele is the one I would consider. Now on the other hand, if you go to a hairdresser and she's putting the product all over your hair, you should have her/him immediately wash it out, look in your purse for your car keys, and get out as fast as your legs or wheelchair allows!😆😆😊 P.S. There are some people that can properly apply the relaxer at home.❤️️

When I use to get home relaxers my mom or sister never but hair grease on my scalp but I got burnt from the relaxer. Your hair is so thick and beautiful😍😍😍

Aww I love this because you relaxed and blow dried your hair. When i was having my hair relaxed my hairstylist would blow dry and press after every relaxer touch up, and every time I would wash my hair it would be so poofy and damaged looking that I had to blow dry and flat Iron it for it to look decent. So i figured if I have to blow dry and flat iron my hair this much i might as well, quit paying for the relaxer and keep blow drying and pressing my naturalhair. But your hair was beautiful without pressing it. This is by far my favorite relaxer video.👏🏾🙌🏾

I had relaxed hair until about 2 years ago (had to cut it all off after an accident) I like being natural but i miss my long flowy hair. I'm waiting a few more months to get it relaxed cause its still really short. Love your video and your hair, thank you for the tips :3

Oh wow. People still hate on relaxers in 2017? Its 2017 and yall are still tying to force your opinions on people by saying stuff like "go natural" and "people still do that". Like I thought black people had finally united and let people do what they want with their hair. Guess not. Anyways, I just went back to relaxers recently. read the lower comments and you will see what I am talking about. I find this stuff all over the place. I watch a lot of relaxed hair videos because I am relaxed. SoFreshlyDiamond recently put up a video where she is taking a break from relaxers and its all over the comment section. BreannaRutter went relaxed and caught hell for it. BrianneLive has an entire series dedicated to #whyilovemyrelaxedhair because of it. I grew my hair to mid back with a relaxer and do you know how many people frowned when they found out it was relaxed? If anything look for vortexstar. SHe is really bad with the whole natural Nazi thing. I mean if you haven't seen it then idk where you look but if you need help I can try to find those videos for you.

Ok. Thank you. I was just confused, because I like..... never see it. But I'm sure I'd notice, if I was a KZbinr who went from natural to relaxed. I actually plan on going back to relaxed, one my hair gets long enough, so I won't have to be so heavy handed, and will be able to distribute product more easily. And I can afford the good stuff. I wish someone WOULD hate on me for that.

Anyone who dyes their hair with chemicals and or bleach you are doing the same thing just because you are not changing the texture doesn't mean anything. If you are using products to soften your hair you are doing the same thing. No one is wearing their hair with it just growing out their scalp without putting anything on it. Everyone is manipulating in one way or another. Choose whatever you want to do with your own hair, you are the only one who has to wear it lol

I'm currently natural, buuuutttt I still think relaxed hair is beautiful! You don't have to go natural just because everyone else is. Treat your hair how YOUR hair needs to be treated whether it's through a perm or whatever you prefer. All hair is beautiful. 😊

I put conditioner along my hair shaft to prevent the relaxer from damaging the already relaxed parts.I never liked the gloves in the kit but I'm going to try using an elastic band to keep it in place like you did.

Why would it break off after a week? Would you not take care of it? It's all about caring for your hair. There are a lot of Social media groups and KZbinrs who Relax and have mid back to waist length hair that is thick strong healthy. Over processing, relaxing every 6wks and not taking care of the hair is why many with Relaxers have unhealthy hair. Then again I know many with Natural hair that doesn't look healthy.
