in my take of your AU the mainline construction started in 1870 cuz parts of the mainline back then were horse drawn and like in your AU the the main line was Completed in 1872. made sense....right?

Who says the main line has it’s construction started in the 1870s? Off course not it actually started when the sodor & mainland railway constructed a line between ballahoo & crovens gate and got extended to wards kelpstorpe & Kirk Ronan
