Audi A1 is a poor person's Audi (same as the BMW 1 Series). Last year I was in search for a new car (had a Honda due to their reliability & reputation) I thought about getting an Audi A3, but after spec'ing up the car (Bose speakers, folding mirrors, sat nav) it ended up running into the thousands. In the end I settled for a Kia Sportage, a lot more roomier, more spec (car can even drive itself on the motorway) for a lot less money than the Audi, only catch was the Brand which I now feel is not so bad. So if you can look away from the 'Germany Whip' bandwagon I would highly recommend other makes specifically Kia.
