British guy here and can confirm Nosh is a British term for food.

Lol as an Englishman I can confirm Nosh means blow job! LOL

Nosh is a Yiddish word for nibble, or small amount of food.
@MattDavisHere6 ай бұрын
@nicolersands Oh, I didnt know that. That is interesting. In Britain as far as I can remember we have always used that word as a slang term for food. Fascinating how certain culutral words enter other lexicons.

I have a lot of fond memories hanging out with Bill during his trips down to Florida. My favorite is getting drunk with him and seeing him accidently walk into the lady's restroom, getting teased quite hard by a very drunk James Duval on his return to our table. He was a great guy and a blast to be around!

I was lucky to meet Bill and talk to him about this movie and The Majorettes(another he directed). He liked talking about this movie, he seemed very proud of it.

Dude, you have no idea how happy this review made me, so glad to see it not only get attention but love and a fair chance. This is just one of those fun 80s flicks that has it's heart in the right place and with that excellent fall atmosphere, is a great one to watch in the Halloween season. That this has Night of the Living Dead roots is a big bonus. This may not be a great movie but like a lot of 80s flick we horror fans adore so much, this should be in that happy family. And I only first discovered this film about 6-7 years ago. Bravo Captain Planet CHH

I love this movie. I hadn't even heard of it till earlier this year, despite the fact that it came out on VHS many years ago. I am sure I walked past it in the video store and never even looked in it's direction.

I rented this back in the 80s or early 90s under the "Revenge of the Living Zombies" title. Cool little film. Always got a laugh out of how this one tried to outdo Ben's death in NOTLD for the finale.

I have to say though that l appreciate your open-minded approach to viewing this kind of project. Sure, it is a low-budget feature, but you have to know that Bill and crew put some real effort behind this feature and attempted to genuinely entertain. I bet Bill would really be pleased with your generous comments and l am sure he would be happy to see the hard work paying off.

Flesheater rules! Picked it up from Suncoast back in the day!

I remember hearing the word Nosh many times growing up. My favorite use of the word comes from the movie Beetlejuice, where he uses it while luring a fly with a Zagnut candy bar. Lol. I still quote that line to this day. 🤘

I watched Flesheater for the first time last year and I had an absolute blast. After watching the first 5 minutes of the film, I thought I was in for a doozie. But then it just kept getting better, and Better, and BETTER!! One of my favourite VS pickups for sure! Glad you were able to experience it for yourself 😎

One of my guilty pleasures, I still have my Zombie Nosh vhs from the 90s, there was no way I was never not going to not see a film called Zombie Nosh 😅and Nosh is slang for eat or food.

Define charming.Seriously,because I have always wanted to know what people mean when they say that current movies that try to emulate horror movies from the 80s lack the charm of those movies.Plus,a precise definition would be awesomely helpful in the unlikely instance that I get to do something I’d love to do,which is make a horror movie.In case I choose to do one that is a tribute to(NOT duplicate of) ones from the 80s,I would like to know what ingredient gives it its charm.Thanks,and your enthusiasm for the horror genre is contagious!

Still remember Flesheater on vhs in the horror section at my favorite video store. I have always enjoyed it. It’s a fun regional horror picture. The VS is million times better than the dvd release.

I bought Zombie Nosh on DVD twenty odd years ago lol. I live in England so I don’t buy imports too often. I own one Vinegar Syndrome release “Bio Zombie” which is another awesome film heavily inspired by Dawn of the Dead. I’ve had Flesheater 4K in my watchlist so many times but it’s always about £35, steep price but I am tempted once again.

Man, I've mentioned this movie to you multiple times. I love it. I know it as "Zombie nosh". Nice to see you finally watch it,lol. Every single time I watch the movie and it gets to the end; the guy is posing with his rifle. I just scream at my computer screen "STOP KILLING PEOPLE!" Because it's not only referencing Night of the living dead, but literally has the same actor!!!! And I love his quote "I'm getting good at this." Ya, I guess you are. With the trick or treaters I like to joke about the male kid "CULTURAL APPROPRIATION!!!" "Being homeless aint a costume, kid." My view on Zombie nosh is very similar to Iced, Dead girls, Bad taste, etc. All these low budget guerilla film making. Very similar to my appreciation for exploitation films. You f**king EXPERT the film to SUCK and of course a lot of them do, but then you get these films that were made by actual competent film makers who tried to make the best damn film they could and I appreciate and love what they were able to do with such a micro budget. Let alone the charm a lot of these films have. So I greatly appreciate Zombie nosh on that level and as i''ve said this time and time and time again "A low budget is NO EXCUSE for why your film sucks!!!" A low budget DOES NOT explain bad dialog, bad writing, poorly written character, bad editing, etc. "oh, my film is bad because of the budget." THEN EXPLAIN NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD?! EXPLAIN ZOMBIE NOSH?! EXPLAIN BAD TASTE?! The low budget gore to me at least actually adds to the film. The gore looks more gross then your average zombie movie. It has an awesome soundtrack that is heavily exploited. Lots and lots of other exploitation factors. I love the fall/October midwestern Halloween vibe to the film. It's a great Halloween themed movie. It's also at times unintentionally funny. Like the "OH MY GOD!" Jersey accent. Now does the film have some BAD ACTING? Yes, and I've made this point time and time again and I always use Zombie nosh as exhibit A; as long as the film is NOT nonstop bad acting all the way through...who cares if it has SOME bad acting? I can excuse bad acting, as long as it isn't in the entire film and I think for the most part the acting is decent to good. So I've watched it several times through the years and this year I am watching it again. And yes, Zombie nosh definitely has a charm to it. It's criminally underrated. I just find it mind blowing how NOBODY seems to mention Zombie nosh. So, awesome to see you watch it and give it a review.
