The Vibraslsp should hang from your finger so it rings out . Pinching it or holding it horizontal will shorten the sustain .

Thank you! I’ve been looking for a video just like this, with a real person explaining small percussion instruments, for a couple of months now! Loved your clear and friendly presentation!

Cool video! For recording (or on stage) add a little reverb and delay to the rain stick and it becomes an even more magical piece.

Do you know the percussive instruments in McCartney's "Bluebird"? I can't for the life of me figure out what they all are... I was hoping you would have some of them in your collection, but I don't think so. :(

3:30 > that is the actual technique !! :-) I own all of those and more and made so much demo's with it. Percussion is really fun to play, to add TO the music. I enjoyed the video :-) Thanks.

Yes! I feel like this instruments need to make a come back!
Whenever you play claves I was told to make a fist and lay the clave on your palm while you hold one

This is true . One is called the Clave and the other is the striker . Which is which is whatever . The Clave is cupped in the left hand (if you're right handed) palm facing upward . The cup of your hand creates a sound chamber . Then you strike the Clave with the striker using your right hand held between the thumb and forefinger

You should do another bass video. Playing with your band or a cover.
