my baby has a fused tooth... 11 month baby update

I had fused baby teeth (2). As an adult mine only grew in as 1 tooth for each. So I only have 2 teeth where I should have had 4. So mine is bilateral and I am completely missing my k9s on the bottom. Dentists in the 90’s told me to try to keep my wisdom teeth to fix the gap that had remained. I didn’t keep my wisdom teeth, so I have the gaps. It has caused no issues as an adult for me for dental or medically. As a child my teeth would not fall out on their own, I had to have them pulled at the dentist. I’m not sure if that was related or not. I know that doesn’t help much. When I was growing up the internet didn’t exist and it’s so rare it’s hard to find information on it. Obviously my dentists from those days are no longer with us.

My daughter is 1 years old next week Tuesday and she also has a fused tooth. It’s her top right tooth. At first I thought she had a adult tooth, but I took her to the dentist yesterday and they confirmed it was a fused baby tooth. I have seen online that it doesn’t necessarily mean the adult tooth comes in fused however if it doesn’t it does mean that there will be no space for the additional tooth so it’s like a 90% chance she will need braces. My daughter is my 4th child and I’ve never seen this before. But I would just say don’t sweat it. We’ve clearly got special little humans. God bless you and your son 🤍

Our 11 month old is hit or miss with his second nap also. We tried stretching his morning wake time and napping around noon and he’s been sleeping 2 1/2 hours!

That sounds like a gooood nap! it’s so funny though because if Xavier is awake for more than 2 hours in the morning... it DEFINITELY shows. 😂

Wow! So crazy about xaviers tooth hope everything turns out good when he gets his X-RAY ; as far as 2 naps angel still takes 2 naps and if he doesn’t have his last nap he gets so overly tired that he won’t go to bed on time 😬

Hi there! No updates, we did have a dentist appointment recently but he’s still too young for x/rays. We should be getting them done soon though because he is turning 3 in 6 months, hopefully I can have an update by then ❤️

My daughter is now 2 n her top right tooth is fused together as well I never seen it she got it filled in the middle so now it looks like one big tooth

I’ve heard of it happening to other teeth too! I’ve never heard of filling it though!
