Hi, thanks so much for this video! I found my old one, it has an opaque pink shell and red writing and symbols. Mine is slightly different with gameplay though, I guess because I'm in Australia. The options are in different spots, like the doctor is on the bottom row for example. And the second game is just helping the baby race to the finish line (looks more like a wall). Same gameplay, pressing the directional button enough, but not chasing a ball. The baby sprite itself also looks different. I might have to do a video on my one, I can't find one that's exactly like my version. Also, it would super awesome if you could please take a photo or scan of the instructions? Can't find them anywhere, not even online. It'd be really appreciated! But I understand if not :) Sorry for the massive comment! 😂 Just so excited to see another one of these! Haha

Omg! I owned the exact same tamagotchi back in 1998 as a 7 year old! However, mine was white and the ‘my baby’ text was black, as was the little symbols and the buttons. It was the exact same font and symbols as yours though. Mine kept dying. And the one time it made it to maturity and grew hair it reseted itself lol! My sister had the ‘my dog’ tamagotchi from the same collection. I’m pretty sure the collection consisted of the following: ‘my baby’, ‘my dog’, ‘my kitty’ and ‘my family’.

Hello, no all of these are vintage usually from the 90s or early 2000 when they were popular. I usually buy mine from ebay. They range on price as well

This video is super old but I fell down a rabbit hole - I still have the my puppy one! And many girls at my school had the my kitty or the my baby ones! I always thought it was an original tamagotchi but now I'm realising it came from a different brand I guess.

Strawbearie Bunnies Awesome! if your my puppy is Green with Purple paw prints as the shell design then you must have the same one as me. and Yeah The packaging is very different. I keep mine in its original packaging.

S C Wish I could tell you but I can't unfortunately, Ours were purchased in the late late 90's and we purchased them in a toy store here in Australia. However the good news is at one point ours stopped working so we bought a Nano puppy on Ebay. The nano puppy is basically the same thing its the same shell design, same game features, only difference is are the brand name and the shell designs are transparent like the one in this video. I highly recommend getting one of those as they are very popular on ebay to this day and are almost identical to the toy we had. I believe the nano puppy's were released in 1997 same as the My puppy's. Hope this helps. 😊

Rachael Annear On ebay Ive seen them in the past. Or you can get the "Nanos" which are the same except called "nano baby". I have this in Green and its "my puppy" not "my baby". mine was bought in the 90s sometime and its not see through and the words are in purple and the drawings on the sides are purple pawprints.

Rachael Jade I am so sorry KZbin never told me anyone had said anything on this video. I buy my virtual pets like this from Japan. Sometimes if you look and often you can find some on ebay. I buy a lot of my virtual pets and lip balm when I go to different countries like a souvenir to me.

Oh my gosh! I had one of these but it was an opaque baby pastel pink "my kitty" with light or white paw prints on it, exactly the same game play and graphics too! I have literally been searching for one of these for years on the internet. I am trying desperately to replace it for nostalgic reasons because my original one was stolen from me on lunch break in my class room in primary school (grade 4 I think), and I was devastated. May I ask where in Japan you found this?!? Thank you 🌈

Simone Stockl Hiya, i absolutely loved hearing about your story on your virtual pet you had as a kid. I am so sorry yours was taken from you as a child though. :( To answer your question I bought this one in a random little toy store in Japan on holiday. I was in Tokyo Harajuku Japan. When I travel I buy virtual pets as souvenirs. However, when here in the states I buy virtual pets on ebay. Its the best place to buy a pet because a lot of countries will sell virtual pets online. When looking on ebay you have to do it regularly because everyday new ones are added and sold. I have some goals for a few i am looking for. It may take a few months but i usually end up finding what I want. When shopping remember to be looking for virtual pet not tamagotchi because tamagotchi is a brand not the game type. There is also a few websites where you can trade virtual pets among collectors. I have always been lure on this only because you don't have a guarantee that they will ship you their trade. I hope this helps and i hope you find your kitty. I don't think i have the kitty in my collection either.

Aww thanks so much for taking the time to let me know :) I have a couple of friends visiting Japan at this very moment and I have asked them to look out for it in Harajuku. But I will certainly keep a look out on eBay, as you've suggested. I am based in Australia and have found that the ones I am after were mostly only sold here (as per this link: www.tamenagerie.com/odd17.html), so fingers crossed I can find one! There is a way to view ebay us instead ebay for other countries. I also try to reply to everyone here on youtube sometimes youtube doesn't always say i have a new comment.
