Which is why many countries have a ban on invasive plant seeds and almost all kinds of animals.

@@KrishnenduKes ya its a good idea to have bans. Problem is people will figure out ways to sneak them into places they dont belong.

This was an interesting one. Introducing a non-native species anywhere is akin to opening a Pandora's box. An invasive species once released into the environment is practically impossible to get rid off.
@AdventuresThings28 күн бұрын
Thank you, yes introducing non native species is like that indeed. Look what happened when the British introduced themselves to India or parts of Africa or North America or anywhere outside of Britain for that matter. Lol

In Britain, the American grey squirrel is an invasive species that has nearly wiped out the local red squirrel population. People in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones.

Differences is Britain has no nature worth saving

All our houses are glass and everyone is throwing stones. Due to the fact that Britian spawned America (lol), there ARE more invasive species that have been brought to the U.S. than the vice-versa, typically by well meaning people who wanted food, lumber, pest control, and the like. Conservation and advocating for it is complicated, but whataboutisms, as you did, doesn't help. Unfortunately a lot of European wilderness has been lost to the sheer consumption of the previous centuries and current policy ongoings - not to mention is overall more delicate due to being insular. TDLR: Invasives are a human problem - not an "us vs them" problem. You'd think the billions of dollars we lose on trying to manage them would be an equalizer for us. Pointing out where they came from does not make blame. As the video creator says in the description: "The real problem isn't Europeans its selfish people who only think about what is good for them and not the consequences of their action to fulfill that selfishness."

That was cool. We had lots of lizards in New Mexico. Prairie dogs too. They are my favorites. They say wha hoooo in the morning to say hi. You can't get much cuter than that.

@@AdventuresThings I'm doing well. Maggie keeps me busy but it's nice she's back in school. The twins that moved in behind us invited her to go to their dance class. Well a week later daddy decided to pay for her to go to classes also. So now she is a dancer! (So not my thing) Class is Mondays and Tuesdays they have a free class. Last week I had to take her on Tuesday. There was a strange man there (grandfather) that was far too talkative and I got to hear all about the death of his wife and all of her disabilities. There was another grandmother there with a second set of twins in the class. We talked about her twins and it turns out they are actually triplets. They have a brother. He doesn't dance. I think he is fine letting his sisters do their dancing and he will do sports. I gave my cat Curly Sue a handful of catnip and stuffed some in a toy of hers. I look down and she is super doped up! Poor girl. What a life. I liked the horny toads in NM because of their spiky bodies. But the ones with the blue tails were pretty. Have a great week.
