You won the Games for 6 straight years. It's amazing that your body is holding up this well at such a high caliber of atheletism. Keep going champ champ!

Carrying bags on your back, plate carrier runs, and rucking are so bad for your back it’s not even worth the training.

cross-fit seems to be high rep stress, may benefit from physical therapy consultation.Your injuries may be fixable without surgery.

I quite CrossFit in May because of my back problems, I was starting to have sciatica pain all day everyday for about almost a year, I couldn't even run. I went to multiple specialists and made an exam. I have two herniated disks and a dynamic knee valgus. Almost went to depression and almost gave up...But...It didn't stopped me from training... I love this! Now with help of a physio and an a PT I'm finally fixing the origin of my back problems and also knee. And my sciatica pain is almost gone, I will start running again next month!

Hey Tia! You're an amazing athlete and one of the biggest inspirations to why I got into Crossfit. But right now, I am dealing with what I believe (self-diagnosed lol) to be the same thing as you. It began with a tightness in my left hip whenever I ran, and slowly moved to my lower back. I believe the cause to be lack of stretching and extreme tightness in the Psoas muscle. I only learned the name of this muscle through a man named David Goggins aka "The toughest man in the world". He went from running 100 mile races and whipping out thousands of pull ups to not being able to get out of bed. He said "stretching gave me my powers back" in his book "Can't hurt me". I hope this provides some consultation knowing that someone else is going through the exact same thing. It surely did for me. Knowing that the fittest woman on earth has to fight these everyday battles is helping me push through the pain and self-defeating thoughts. I pray and hope you get back to doing all the things that you love.

Something something something said by Mat Fraser about retiring with his health still intact. Once she had hit four, no one was ever getting close to that amount. Katrin had two back to back but wasn't seeing a third

Its amazing what ice packs/ frozen blocks will do for back pain. While I am on the recliner I wedge a frozen block in and rest on it, it's got me of some really bad back (pinched nerve) spasm.

Go see a Gonstead chiropractor. Nothing like their approach. There’s one on KZbin from Australia, too - Dr. Ian. Mine can work on the extremities as well and has helped me with my wrists, elbows, and shoulders in addition to specifically what I need in my back. They don’t just pop you to pop you. They find underlying causes.

You should try TRT (Tissue Regenerative Therapy) also known as Softwave Therapy. We use it a lot with various athletes and the amount of healing it does in the short amount of time is ridiculous!!!
