I had five as a child; a regular Barbie, a 'Sweet 16', a Malibu Barbie and two Kens, one regular, one Malibu. I had bazillions of clothes from 1950s to the most up to date 70's ;) and a lot of handmade clothes from mum and aunty. But your collection I could only dream of. I collect a lot of other things lolz.

I had one Golden Dream, Ballerina Barbie, Loving Hearts, Skipper and twirly curl. Now I am telling my age lol.. I know that's the problem, I have a 1/12 scale dollhouse in Australia full of furniture no point shipping out, Hello Kitty, Monster High, Every after high, Rement. American Girl. And now I get roped it to watching Toy youtubes and I want more of this extra little stuff like Shopkins, I need to draw a line somewhere lol its not working.. I am just such a collector at heart. I could do videos for years on what I have... I just don't know how KZbinrs keep on buying buying every week.. I almost bought two monster highs this morning I was like No I am trying to sell them no point buying more...

You have a fantastic collection.I love it.I just started out collecting Barbies and have about 45 in one month.I was going to keep all mine in the original boxes and only display my vintage dolls on the doll holders but after seeing your video I may open some up.I also was thinking of making my own custom shelving and adding in all my furniture ect. i throw most away.. i only keep the real expensive doll boxes like the 1st Christian Louboutin Doll for example. but by visiting the official barbie site and looking at the showcase section that helps along with a couple of other sites that have up to date info on dolls face molds and release dates.. thats a true collector! :)

Cool collection. I have manny of them in my collection. I have 685 Barbies. The Dynasty Dolls are Joan Collins as Allexis Morell Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan and Linda Evans as Krystle Grant Jennings Carrington. Both dolls in Nolan Miller gowns. Joan Collins wore the gown in Dynasty episode Denver Carousel and both ladys wore the gown on promopictures. Collins first waxfigure in Madame Tusssuds in London wore it also.

I love your collection. I started collecting Barbies since late 2011&early 2012. I want to collect Barbies since when I was a kid,but end up not keeping my Barbies safe from childhood. I love your Barbies. I can tell most of them are collectibles. Too bad for me that I can't afford to buy the Barbies you have. The only collectible Barbies I can get are The Barbie Looks, they only cost $20 where I live. Also I need a new better bigger room like your's to keep my Barbies safe. Right now they're in my room, dusts are getting on them, too crowded and the worst part is I have few minor problem of spiders getting into my room, it's temporary that this happens.But my Barbies are safe now, I really take good care of them.

I have throw almost all of the boxes away but some that I kept are in the attic boxes inside boxes to protect them. I was scared at first to throw them away and worried about loosing the value but the Barbie Market is so flooded now most are not worth anything. The First Silkstones and convention dolls I do not debox.

I´ve got 560 dolls. Most are playline. Others are Christmas Dolls, Celebrity Dolls, The Look Collection (complete), Dolls of the world, Barbie Basics and Dolls from my chilhood. I had not so manny dolls as a kid. So I have nearly all that I had in my childhood. Your collection is great. The real problem is to find the right showcases for the dolls. The quality of the most is not so very good. Greetings from Germany :)

You have a spectacular collection. Congratulations on putting it all together. The cabinets are awesome. My suggestion is that anything you have sitting out on a shelf that is not in a cabinet, wrap the cabinet front cellophane. Do this for the ones that are still in their box too that are sitting out. Dust is a doll killer. You can find it by the roll at Michael's Craft Store. Good luck in your collecting. :)

True. Those boxes do take up a lot of room. However, it's your collection and if you don't plan to sell it, taking them out of the boxes is great. I'd just be sure and keep the boxes ... somewhere ... just in case. Just about all of mine stayed in their box, still are. However, I have decided to sell. Trust me, the cellophane idea was the best thing I could have ever done. It keeps the boxed dolls in 'new' condition no matter how old they are.

I was such a box collector before I would not open and I have opened but now I won't take off their original items, I like it too look mint how it came because I was so used everything in boxes sometimes I didn't want to take off the tissue crazy. I need to cover some of the more high end dolls like you said.

shopping Girl When I sell, the really old ones (circa year 2000 or earlier) I rewrap them in cellophane because by now, dust had covered the out sides. Taking off the old cellophane blows me away to see the great shape they are still in. I highly recommend doing this to your dolls. The cellophane is not that expensive and pays for itself by keeping the dolls in pristine condition. :)

but i want to also get those silkstone barbies, just to see how they weigh and feel. since i've never really handled a porcelain / silkstone / hard-vinyl materialed doll. anywho your collection is pretty breath-taking! but i don't think i can handle more than 30 barbies altogether! haha! i like to keep them number low so i can give equal amount of love to each one of them! :]

i'm definitely not a type of collector like you. haha. i'm a "sentimental and love-for" barbie collector. i have 4-5 childhood barbies that have been through a lot, but i'm keeping them in tip-top shape! i had to give them a new look(hair and face), because of mis-handling as a child. since these...i have purchased 16 new barbies. some to "replace" my old ones and the rest are ones that i saw and liked. most of the ones i just purchased are from the 90s, the ones i grew up and loved :]

I buy the playline dolls too, if I like the face and clothes but I don't buy as many now that I don't have room and there not something I would want to display the collector ones look better in the cases.
