My basement flooded! Now what???

Welcome back to my channel! In today's video, I'm sharing how my basement flooded due to surface water seeping through a crack between my house's foundation footer and the foundation wall. Honestly, the flooding was not a tragedy, so I'm grateful that it was relatively minor, but it did trash the carpet.
I'll jump right into the solutions. I added gutters to redirect rainwater away from my home, fixed grading issues outside to ensure proper drainage, and patched the foundation both inside and out to stop water from infiltrating.
But that's not all! I'll also show how I investigated the issue by making a "flood cut" in my drywall.
Now, here's the exciting part! In Part 2 of this series, I'll reveal my choice of a new flooring material for the basement.
