I just started using this for my birthday studio sessions, it saved me so much time that now I can deliver them the same day.

Ive enjoyed using Evoto! I really needed help with retouching my closeups...now I can do a good job ! I dont have a makeup artist and a feature i love is adding eyelashes. This does a great enhancement. Im also using Evoto on my full length dancer shots. Definitely an excellent tool. I like that you are using this too and I enjoyed seeing your workflow. I too go back to Photoshop for minor tweaks. Thanks! Jan NYC

Wonderful post Lindsay. Excellent explanation of how to effectively use Evoto for beauty and headshot retouching. Big help to kickstart me with the product. Is there a way to clean up and/or replace backgrounds? Thanks again.

It is such a coincidence that I start to hear about Evoto from all around - few photographers on B&H event space webinars, one fellow photographer in Warsaw and now one of the most trustful photogrphers of all - Lindsay Adler ;) Fantastic! Thanks a lot Lindsay for sharing your workflow, as i think there is not to much of such quality content on the web - of end to end retouching in Evoto. I wish there would be proper Lightroom integration as plug in. Maybe someday? ;) Really enjoy your videos and channel. Thanks! ;)

Terrific video. Thank you for sharing. I'd love to see the rest of your workflow, especially how you take the photo between Capture One / Lightroom / Photoshop. One bit of feedback, there is some ambient background sounds/music in the audio for this video. It makes it very difficult (especially for those with some hearing loss) to follow the dialogue even with captions.
@lindsayadlerphotoАй бұрын
Almost all of my photo deconstructions and videos on this channel include a portion of RAW processing and color grading, so I recommend checking those out. Regarding the music, we'll definitely take that into consideration for future videos.

Brilliant 👏. Thank you for sharing this. How long do Evoto credits last? Is there an expiration date once purchased?

Not entirely sure. You will have to reach out to them to ask.

Do you recommend doing retouching before or after color grading and why?
@lindsayadlerphotoАй бұрын
I do my color grading and RAW processing before hand. Once you retouch you're going to essentially be converting the file from RAW to an output file so you're going to be losing information. That's not to say you can't color grade after doing retouching but any sort of processing of the RAW file is going to give you much more latitude.

Hi, so are you working straight in RAW with Evoto? Or do you open as jpg . Would like to k own where in your workflow do you use Evoto?. Thank you
@lindsayadlerphotoАй бұрын
No, I prefer to do my raw processing in CaptureOne. Then I work in Evoto as a TIF. Then bring it back into photoshop after for final adjustments.

I know this is a paid video, whether it’s using your viewers as the prize or you were actually paid. Or maybe you just believe in this. But I’m glad you showed us it’s not there yet. Now I can use this to show the other “ambassadors”they are full of it. Highest of high end campaigns still need the highest of high end retouchers. What we really need to know is how some of the things are accomplished. Like is it using a dust and scratches algorithm, pure fs algorithm. A real under the hood look.
@lindsayadlerphotoАй бұрын
I can't tell if you are complimenting me or insulting me. lol. I was very clear it gets me a lot of the way there to save me time but is not 100% for a beauty retouch. honestly I really do use it for 80% of images just to make the processes faster but it usually definitely still requires more work after unless it is just a small file going up low res for social.
@000CloudStrifeАй бұрын
@ Not insulting. Wrote this quick without elaboration. It’s obviously a more in depth discussion. Part of it is how companies use platforms and it’s not always about a product being paid per se. The other part is how far the software has come and its use cases. Ai will eventually replace retouchers and it’s starting to get close. Ai will make things easier in lower budget commercial work and the higher budget that want better quality will have temporary increased demand for the top of the line retoucher. It’s already splitting off like that. The problem with the other ambassadors is they sell this as a fix all solution. You are transparent and clearly show limitations of the product. Which makes you the video to watch.
@lindsayadlerphotoАй бұрын
@@000CloudStrife Haha gotcha. That's what I was hoping.
@lindsayadlerphotoАй бұрын
Retouchers will just adapt and use A.I. software to supplement their workflow. The software isn't going to magically know what the client wants so it's a tool like anything else.
