I was TSi3, moved into TSr4 - couldn't control the TSi4. I was hitting the TSi3 around 191mph ball speed max, the TSR4 up to 197mph. I can't believe how light and fast the TSR4 feels considering I can control it even with weight forward 8° knocked down to 7.25° with Ventus Black 6x.

Wow, some great swings with a big turn, pounding that driver like stamping out nickles. Overall the 3 is the best performer but also has th eless forgiving face, wondering if getting more balanced weights for the 4 would be the best combo of all, say two 6 gram weights. Just a thought because the face in the four is the same as the 2 which is more forgiving for less centered strikes than the 3. Noticing with the weight forward there are club head speed gains and carry gains. All very interesting and a stellar new line from Titleist.

For those who are interested in forgiveness. The MOI of the TSR3 is 4900, TSR weight forward is 4200 and weight back is 4700. To get 4700 MOI out of a low spin, 430cc head is phenomenal!

The TSI4 on a good day was ridiculous.Low and penetrating and roll out huge. On a bad day, the smaller face intimidated me a bit. I moved to TSI3 in Tensei White X and got some good high bombs. I am going to try out the TSR3.

what's your take on the driver's vs PING G425 Max?
@shellbmb72 жыл бұрын
Both my friend and myself have found the TSR4 to have way more misses left with the weight forward. It seems like your finding similar results with the TSR4 veering left with the weight forward. Any explanation for this?
@MichaelM-to4sg2 жыл бұрын
His sample size on this video was 3 with heavy weight forward. 2 of those strikes were toe. The gear effect took it left, though not substantially and most importantly those heel & toe strikes still maintained ball speed. If you look at his first strike with heavy weight back, it too was a bit toey but went straight. Ball speed was however 1.5mph slower and a few yards shorter. That result should be exactly as expected. CG forward loses some forgiveness while gaining some efficiency. The driver is pretty efficient across its entire face, weight forward or back. You choose if you prefer maximum efficiency or maximum forgiveness.

Not sure the drop in spin with the 4 weight forward would carry to the golf course.
@MichaelM-to4sg2 жыл бұрын
Why would it be a very low spin on simulator but not the course? The issue for me would be why anyone would want an average 1900 spin driver that routinely drops to 1700’s. If it’s a wide, straight hole with no wind, sounds great 👍. The reality is most long 4’s and par 5’s, holes where I pull my driver, are in fact doglegs. Where I live, 10-12mph winds are common, 20+ now in Fall is routine. My home courses are shrouded in tall conifers. Spin is my friend, it gives me options to control shot shape. Not saying I want a 3000 spin driver that just balloon’s up in wind. My target is 2400-2700. Whether it’s TSR4 w/big weight back or more likely the TSR3 sound like a possible new gamer for me.

You were literally peppering the center point of the TSR4 - yet your immediate comment many times was that you missed it - and then when you made a comment that you hit it, it didn't seem to do as well as the TSR3. Just what I saw. Personally, I think the TSR2 10-degree head is going to deliver the surprise upside in sales - play it 1-click open & flat - a much bigger sweet spot and far more stable.
@Lawsurf12 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by one click open? Are you saying bring the 10-degree down to 9 - degree? Thanks
@wallstreetoneil2 жыл бұрын
@@Lawsurf1 I'm trying to equate 1-click open to how many of the other brands work where open means de-lofted and also slightly open-faced and Titleist also has a Flat setting. The Titleist Standard setting is A1 - so I'm implying 1-open & 1-Flat being the C1 setting which is -0.75-degrees reduction in Loft and also 0.75-degrees Flat - which is a pretty popular setup for 'better' players for anti-left protection

If you have issues hitting a club in the screws you need to invest in your swing and body, not a new gimmicky club. Or you may just be swinging too hard. I learned my golf in the persimmon and blade 1 iron days. Drivers today are a “plate on a stick”. I welcome a 430 cc head. Still very forgiving compared to what my brain was calibrated to.
