I've started painting as art therapy, with my 8yr old son (who has a terminal cardiac condition) He loves watching you too Gilly. He said today "Your like an Australian Nanny!" (My Mum passed 20yrs ago so he doesn't have a Nan) He absolutely melted my heart. Wanted to share with you & to say thankyou! Let you know you're touching lives in such a precious way!

His name is Orion. He had a different birth name. At age 3 1/2yrs he had major palliative cardiac surgery. It was Xmas. We had a window bed & could see the stars. I told him the story of the Orion constellation (Orion the Hunter & Artemis) After that he refused to be called by his birth name. 2 yrs later, changed his name legally. He's such a character! He is now 8yrs, been told he's not suitable for a cardiac transplant. The Dr has estimated I might only have him for 3/4 more yrs. But- he's my little 'Hunter' so hopefully he'll defy the odds? Art therapy is part of his homeschooling. His oxygen level is between 70-80% so being really careful with him with cov19. I let him read your comment- he was thrilled- thankyou Gilly.
