The clip Anthony showed of Ren talking about his health battles is heartbreaking each time I see it. However the joy I get seeing the success and recognition he's now receiving makes me want to punch the air in delight. Ren is an inspiration, a true example of the human spirit overcoming, of not giving up. Anthony clearly gets it and wants to share that inspiration around. It's beautiful to see.

For me- Hi Ren is the most majestic song EVER. It has changed my soul in the most beautiful way. I cannot explain it and I am looking to try. Always interesting to watch an introduction to Ren... You mentioned not knowing about split personality. It's called Dissociative Identity Disorder now. This kind of conversion doesn't happen with DID, when a different personality shows up the conscious mind just disappears for a bit. It's usually triggered by stress or trauma memory. When the conscious mind returns it feels like a blackout, suddenly time chunks are missing.

great reaction. just for a little extra thought to throw out there. Ren at one point believed he was possessed by demons due to his illness. i think that may be refelected in the part that starts "i was born at the dawn of creation" and the playing gets really manic and sinister.

He will be flying to the UK just to shoot a video real quick, but has to return to complete his treatment which will end this fall. Love this!! I really enjoy seeing people share and introduce themselves others to Ren. Particularly this song/video - the message is important for people to hear. He’s becoming a voice of a generation. It’s interesting, in one of his recent interviews Ren said that initially the song ended with the darkness. But a friend encouraged him to keep working on it. I’m glad he did! The message of hope and the closing monologue are so powerful!!

Ren has made a huge impact on a lot of people from all generations. I shared Hi Ren in my work's social network & it had a huge impact on people who work in the disability & mental health fields. It also had a huge impact on me. I lost my voice to HPV & had 9 operations on my vocal chords. I lost confidence with singing, but because of Ren Ive chosen to accept my voice as it is & Ive recorded a 20 year old song & started a podcast, just in 1 month.
