Just found you and loved everything you said especially the babying the hair. I am mid-back now and it blows people's mind that every inch is mine. I have only paid attention since the lockdown and it has been amazing to see it grow and flourish. I also relax at the salon and until recently also washed there.

Hey Sophia 👋🏽 It is so amazing to see your hair flourish when you pour so much love and care into your hair routine. Mid back is goals 😍😍 Will you keep growing it out? or stay at this length for a while?

I haven’t used a relaxer in almost 22 years and I am not going back. However, I must say, you have the healthiest-looking relaxed hair I’ve yet seen on social media. It looks dense and moisturized with lots of fullness toward the ends. Kudos! The last time I was relaxed I was using a “mild” formula which left my hair with bouncy curls. The first brand I tried was Posner when I was in high school. I wanted to try one again in my mid-late 20s for my bob haircut, but I was no longer able to find that brand so I started using a “mild” relaxer by Revlon. I have just a few questions: 1. Do they still make “mild” relaxers? 2. If so, would you try one? 3. Your hair appears more TEXlaxed than RElaxed. Is this the case? 4. How long have you been relaxed? Thank you and I wish you continued success with your hair. I went on a hair-health-and-growth journey in 2016 after suffering lots of breakage and heat damage at the salon. I am at a healthy hip length after never having achieved growth past armpit length. Although I’m natural, I’m going to subscribe because I just discovered your channel today and I’m curious to know what you’re doing with your hair. I’ve developed my own tried-and-true regimen strictly from watching KZbin. I *never* thought my hair could be where it is now. I was astounded at how much I DIDN’T know and I’m always up for learning something new. Peace and blessings! 🥰

Thank you for your great tips 😊just wanted to know How many times do you wash your hair and deep condition. And do you co wash your hair throughout the week?
@DependantDaughter Жыл бұрын
Hey Tokoya 👋🏽 As of right now my wash days are looking at anytime between 7-10 days. (I do my best to deep condition with every wash day unless I’m cut for time for some reason) I do not however co wash my hair throughout the week. I felt like it was to much manipulation for my hair to handle. 😊

@@DependantDaughter wow thank you 😊 for that information. Learning your own hair is surely a journey. I just wanted to get some clarity. I’ve become a little burnt out on co washing my hair in the middle of the week and deep conditioning my hair twice a week but just trying to get some clarity i guess, try different methods in works best for my hair. Once again thank you. Just newbie to relaxing and trying to make it lol 😂

can I ask what type of relaxer you use?
@DependantDaughter Жыл бұрын
Hi Rola, I use Soft & Beautiful Botanicals Regular No-Lye Sensitive Scalp Relaxer and my back up relaxer if not available is the ORS Relaxer. I hope this helps! What relaxer are you currently using??

I have natural hair, but my mother is the same way when detangling (I mostly do my hair myself, but I can't do cornrows on myself like she can) and I just wince everytime :')
