You're the first person I seen do the bridge on this mountain, other than myself a few weeks ago. I was going to do the external like you did. Then I realized you can connect the bridge to the base on top if you line it all up properly. Floors/floor frames/foundations connect builds, walls/door frames do not. Little different than rust with that. Square foundation goes as close to edge as possible. Build up twig squares from bridge level until correct left/right. When needing to move, get your build plan out before broken foundation disappears and use it as guidance. The hard part is aligning front/back. To know if its connected, you have to check TC. Or have minimal wood in there and see if the upkeep changes when you attempt to connect.

If you put external base cabinets now when someone raids you they cant place there own cabinet unless they break your external cabinets as well, which makes it harder for them to seal off your base. Also if parts of your base are not connected to eachother they need to have there own cabinets so they dont decay. In this case since my bridge to get up the mountain was not connected to my main base it needed its own cabinet so it didnt decay. Hope that made sense🤝
