The moment I see a pipeline, an excavator, an unreachable ladder or some crates lined over each other, it makes me want to follow where they'll lead and I know it will lead to some loot. Another great gun you can get for free relatively early on and easily is the M700 bolt action sniper rifle with an 8x scope from the Arena, (3rd match) After winning the engagement loot all the enemies, and then *before* speaking to the arena guard dump all your arena inventory on the floor, then walk out to the safe, collected your gear, and then gather the guns off the ground and you will be able to keep them. (You also get a G36 rifle and some other really nice guns from the match too.) The nicest part about this is the match gives you weapons so there's no need to farm for quality gear for the arena match letting you take it on about as soon as you arrive and finish the first 2 matches.

​@@Broughdenit is definetly useful. Even before the very recent update that made A-life kinda work. Not as well with random encounters but say you know a PoI has enemies. You can draw them out and they'll need to close range before they start shooting. And lightly armored bandits and stuff drop in 1 body shot. Exosuit monolith soldiers drop in a single head shot.

@17:00 there's also a unique artifact called "Weird Nut" (mechanical not squirrel) in the glowing cooling tower that's visible on the map. Pain in the butt to get, but worth it. The description reads: "Eerily cold to the touch, this unusual Nut promotes rapid blood coagulation when attacked to your belt, though the wounds themselves take longer to heal" basically when you suffer the bleed status, you lose health a LOT slower, but the status takes longer to go away on its own. There's 6 unique artifacts if you want to hunt them down. 2 are pretty hard to get.

@@oceanlawnlove8109 it doesn't spawn, it's always there, just extremely hard to see. The unique artifacts don't appear like the regular ones. They're just stationery and you pick them up. The scanner you have doesn't react to them at all.

There's also a unique artifact that looks like a toy ball that significantly reduces damage from bullets if you stand still. It's next to a vehicle on the ground at a site called "bulba" east of Zalisya. Basically a lake with a gravitational anomaly in the middle. The anomaly will suck you in and destroy you, so move between cover in-between the pulses of the anomaly to get in and out. Every time it pulses, it sucks you towards it

12:46 That walkway is now covered with electric anomaly. Also once the bloodsucker spawns you can just wait inside and either Freedom or Bandit group will eventually come by and kill it (it can take like 3-5 minutes). After running into Richter and getting Nestor's stash, the exit is a hole in between where you came up the ladder and the crane. It still annoys the crap out of me that enemies can see and shoot you where you still cannot see them with a 2x scope.

13:30 It amazes me how many people playing Stalker just refuse to use a shotgun. This game has been deliberately developed so that you absolutely must use the shotgun if you want to defeat mutants. Bloodsuckers go down with 4 or 5 blasts from a shotgun if you just wait for them to attack you. If you use a machine gun or rifle, it will take forever and many reloads.

@ it’s been a mixture of both and I’ve still gotten nowhere near to finishing the game. Its a long game so i think you can do whatever you like. If I were to do it over again, I would probably explore more and try to head as far north and go towards Pripryat so i can unlock more gear and guns and better artifacts.

I actually got thunderberry artifact where you got the vector gun, guves maximum endurance and radiation. Doesn't give more stamina tho, but stamina regen is off the charts. Absolutely buzzing, full sprint , 1 and a 2 stamina back.

SAIGA -D 12 is the best shotgun in terms of reloading with much better stats and wearing a helmet doesn't "boost your stats further", wearing a helmet protects just your head.. That's why there is a difference between a suit + helmet and a full pledged armor.

Stalker 2 doesn't seem to have a separate damage calculation for your head, both stats would to be added up for your total protection. If you check 3rd person, you'll see that you don't even have a head to protect. I've also tested this by putting on crap armour so all my physical resistance is in my helmet, Vs just having body armour and the damage I was taking was the same. So they do stack, not sure if there's a cap beyond 5 though. Not tested that.

When I play Stalker: Call of Pripyat, I usually use shotgun and assault rifle combination. Shotgun for mutants, assault rifle for humans. Like the Witchers bear two swords that silver for monsters and steel for humans.

Why settle for inferior bullet hoses if Dnipro, an endgame assault rifle, SEVA-D suit, Cuirass Exosuit and Wierd Nut are all gotten in one roughly 1km trek from Slagheap to Cement Factory, with no story progression after Lesser Zone. Saiga is just a better shotty, comes with magazine from the get go, a 12 round attachment just south of Yaniv. Dnipro also takes 45mag for ak74s, using common 5.45x39 stock and you get it at the same time as Wierd Nut in the same location.

SEVA-D is on top of Cage location East of SlagHeap near Kopachi. Exosuit is up high on walkways in the SKD Assembly Unit - North West where you find the Wierd Nut.

Went all the way from Rostok to bottom left of map (duga or duyga) and stumbled upon some bodies by a tree with a few of those mutated cat c***s . Due to being early in the game and Rostok being the closest safe zone I killed one and decided to run to the place where the upgrade was and the cat followed me for like 1.8km, even after managing to get away and hud turning blue it was still following me as hud kept turning red again lol. Funny how they can get into your head and you start hearing humans talking shit lol. Almost on the 'YOU NEVER SHOULD OF COME HERE' Skyrim flex 😂 edit.. All you really need is a max modded and full attachments DNIPRO. It does the highest damage and penetration of any assault rifle and rivals some sniper rifles. Honorable mention goes to a maxed out GP37 that does just slightly less damage and penetration but can also have a 90 round magazine.

Both. My current weapon loadout is Skif’s Pistol (because screw you, Burer), the Bizon with that lovely crowd pleasing 50 round magazine, and the Saiga D-12 with slugs (because screw you, bloodsucker). Seems they do better than ARs in this game, which is a shame since ARs should rule being full-on rifles made to kill and wound at hundreds of meters so come packed with energy to deliver to targets.

There's actually a way more powerful shotgun that has the same magazine as standard. So you get the faster reload rate along with the faster fire rate and A LOT more damage than the 860. It's a bit further in the game though

saiga shotgun is op against mutants mag feed rapid fire or slow and slugs or shells. Found one above the chemical zone in a junk yard. No one i have found can upgrade for me anywhere yet maybe higher zones since i am not far into the story i keep getting distracted exploring or side quests.

I was having these same issue, I drank a vodka and had anti rad meds on my quick access ready, I drank a vodka and ran in I think the key is not to stand to close to the truck or safe. Stand just close enough where it let's you pick up all I ram to door dramk vodka saved it and ran back in and did the same steps for the safe. The safe almost kled me by the time I opened the door I was in the orange so I used anti rad meds then looted safe ran out drank another vodka to be safe then saved, but I was able to get everything. Hopefully you've gotten it by now. If not hope this helps

I like ecologist armor - only 2 kg and lavina - 2.5kg weight, not upgraded . That’s is less than 5 kilo . Putting 5 weight capacity artefact and you can loot everything what u want. Herkules for ultimate in case of emergency

I was doing some stash hunting last friday, came across that location on that crater and thought to myself..."meh...I'll check it out later, I don't see anything...probably a bloodsucker trap or anomalies + artefact is not worth it right now"...I missed the Kriss Vektor because I was being lazy... After killing "the Shah"and the other guy you have to take down in that quest,i came back with both PDS of them to that bandit "Waran" After the following fight against his crew now there is no quest marker on the map,nore a quest in the main Story line. Is that supposed to be like that? Even loading an earlier save point has the same outcome. What to do now? Where to head? Shall I keep going explore arround,or is that just a quest bug 😢 Pls Help if you can, thx

i have been wanting to play it but i have an old rtx 2060 ko and it just frames most of the time almost unplayable. there are a few times it runs okay but like 5 min down the road it just drops for so long

Same here. Saiga is simply point and empty the mag. No bloodsucker will outlive that.
