my BEST Underwater Metal Detecting Finds of 2022

In the future, don't take your jewelry finds to a jeweler....take them to an independent appraiser. Jewelers who also buy and sell jewelry will always be biased in their appraisals, but an independent appraiser doesn't buy or sell jewelry, so will usually give you an unbiased value. Also, never allow a jeweler to remove a gemstone from any of your pieces since the more unscrupulous ones have been known to switch your high-grade diamond out for one of lesser quality. How do I know this? I was walking around my neighborhood early one Sunday morning and found a beautiful diamond ring in a platinum and iridium setting. I showed it to several jewelers and none of them would offer more than 8K for it. I finally took it to an independent appraiser who advised me to insure it for $25,000. He also prepared a detailed appraisal with photos and everything.

WOW! I loved it. Definitely worth waiting for. I know these videos are the polished results of lots of planning and hard work that never make it on camera or gets edited out. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into making and sharing them with us. For me the destinations, scenery, sight seeing and food segments are just as enjoyable as the treasures you find. The cool thing is you'll never run out of places to hunt because people are always losing stuff. It's a renewable resource. And thank you for picking up after people who are too lazy to properly dispose of their own garbage. I'm really looking forward to seeing your van build. I hope 2023 is your best year yet. Hi Nora, your videos are just awesome, I grew up in Chattanooga, Tn.,lived on Missionary Ridge, as kids not even knowing we played in the original confederate rifle pits, that's where gen.of the Armies Doug MacArthur 's dad Arthur won his medal of honor, anyways all kinds of relics were found including live artillery ordnance and human bones. The battlefield of Chickamauga was super spooky especially Snodgrass Hill that saw the worst of the fighting. I was digging a field line in my backyard, dug up some arrow heads, spent .44 cal.pistol rounds the lead balls, and a cylinder for the pistol, small brass buckles, etc. Europe is littered with battlefield relics from all wars/ centuries. Keep up the great work, be safe happy hunting.

Thanks for the inspiration Nora. I just look for trash & treasure while snorkeling, without a detector) but managed to find a ton of stuff this year, including an iPhone 13 Pro and a 14k Italian gold necklace. Most of the stuff I find (surfboard fins, knives, sinkers) I fix up and sell on eBay. All the profits go right back into gear. Let me know if you ever want to explore Malibu with me.
