Man, not only is that simply an excellent result, it's also an excellent teaching game. Excellent vision, tactical understanding, timing, and strategy. I think there's something to take away from this for players of all levels. Awesome vid, Gauri!

Great video, rare someone can explain a complicated game in such a clear, concise and engaging way. Like how you explained the important lines but didn't overdo the analysis about every tiny thing like some do. Awesome win!

@@gaurichess love the puzzle solving but, i’d like to see more videos posted up of you actually playing other opponents. I know short form content is all the rage but, i guess im old fashion and enjoy watching some blitz games

I think Nxb5 was still possible at 5:29, as after c4 there is Bh7 with check and you can save your knight afterwards. Either ways, I think Qd1 was better

Exceptional! I really strive to be able to coordinate my attackers well, especially when re-routing them like you did. It's a challenging thing to perfect though. Loved how well all the moves ended up tying in to one another... I wonder how different the game would have played out if black had gone b6 instead of b5.

my highest two kills were a CM(one of the top 20 in NJ) and a FM. I beat the CM four times over the board, though he beat me like 10-12 times, and I beat the FM once in an online blitz game. I also drew, and later beat someone who drew GM David Bronstein. So yeah. My kills are definitely up there

For me personally, how I (2000+ elo btw) can tell you’re just as good as the GM (aka you’re a master too), is you knew how to fully utilize all the resources at your disposal, that combined with an incredible sense of board awareness. The move Qb3 inducing weaknesses and Qd1 shifting the attention to other side of the board and last but not least, playing e4 (brilliant move!!!!) at JUST the right moment to create some serious practical problems and force his hand when his pieces weren’t working harmoniously (as seen by the awkward order of pieces defending the f7 pawn at the end). Well done my man 👏🏼

That does not work. The pawn is pinned and cannot take back. That would be a huge loss of material, and may even lead to forced mate
